  1. You won't find many in the US for sale... I'd say maybe one, two times a year you see a solid one for sale. Japan and Australia's prices usually are about $10,000 USD for Fairlady Z's. You could find a Euro-spec model HS30 model (RHD) as well.
  2. Looks like you got something good going on. Looks great so far! Can't wait to see the finished product. White Z's with flares are definitely money.
  3. Neat work! Looking forward to seeing this beast's progress!
  4. Awesome writeup! You mentioned "Nissan used a larger diameter brake booster on the 280ZX to reduce the pedal force of the 15/16 inch diameter master cylinder," so does the 1" master cylinder need more pedal force once paired up with the S30 booster? Also, I believe the 73+ boosters were bigger than 70-72.. So if we have 70-72 boosters, this combo may be pretty difficult, assuming the above is correct?
  5. How did you find out the 280ZX MC was leaking internally, and did you buy a new one? If so, from where? Thanks!
  6. You are fine... and if you aren't, Ken & Miguel will figure it out pretty quickly.
  7. http://www.zcarblog.com/2008/09/30/uncategorized/z-car-garage-tests-240z-big-brake-kit.html I don't have the exact page, but here's a start. Just use "Search" on their blog, and I'm sure something will come up. Note that they are no where near cheap, but supposedly are worth it!
  8. Although I do not think Matt was disrespectful, to tell someone who's build, which already took a unfortunate direction, is a "waste his money" is like kicking someone who is already on ground. Itzgoten obviously has a lot of pride in what he is doing with his Z, and took the time to share something new on this site. Some people love to do something different, and I would never say they are wasting their money if it is what they believe in. He is the first to admit he overlooked a few things, but I would not recommend him to go through 6-8 motors, especially if he does not like to get his hands dirty. His mistakes and corrections may lead for another person's SR20 build to be successful. His brother's shop is reputable in the area, and does not need to be reevaluated. Everyone makes mistakes, regardless if it it was his or the shop.
  9. Don't buy the seats yet... Invest the money into your suspension
  10. I guess that means Leon has a "Hooker" fetish. Bwhahaha....
  11. The hardlines are definitely different. Probably would be easier to get a shop to bend/flare some hard lines for you. Goodluck!
  12. Gonna be bringing my camera to tape the dyno
  13. I am curious to where you bought your "brand new" s12w calipers. Would you please share?
  14. I was wondering if anyone had experience with Top-End Performance's bolt-in camber plates / top hats shown here: There is a short description on their site shown here (third item from the top): http://www.racetep.com/datsunsusp.html I am looking to overhaul my suspension with coil-overs and thought this may be a viable option rather than cutting into the strut towers. They do say for "street" and "auto-cross" cars. Is there a specific reason they did not list "track"?
  15. Awesome Andy... Can't wait to see it
  16. Hahah for sure, figured my signature would give it away.
  17. ... and remember to send me an invitation
  18. Thanks... It was a barn find sitting for about 18 years. I refreshed it a bit, and overall it's in very nice shape
  19. Random, but any idea what the sizing on those Wats and tires are on the first picture?
  20. Looking forward to new updates! I have a 72 Fairlady Z
