Bushing for emergency brake control lever.
rreford replied to LooseRocks's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
I found a solution for the rubber bushing (I believe - fits up well). I was perusing the Help aisle at AutoZone and saw a Dorman oil filler tube grommet (part #42306). Nice tight fit on the body, and it holds the plastic bushing well. My plastic bushing is cracked as well, but holding up well otherwise. I'll see how the rubber bushing looks after some mileage, but shouldn't see a ton of wear anyways. -
Not possible to use Z31 outer valve springs for L28 engine?
rreford replied to turbogrill's topic in Nissan L6 Forum
I am about to buy springs for my P90A L28 turbo. When you go with the outer Z31 springs, are you running the stock 280 inner springs? -
I've got a stock T3 I'd sell, but why wouldn't you buy a T3/T4 hybrid? everything mounts up, more boost potential

I appreciate it!

I cracked my L24 front cover. Looking for good condition replacement.

the closest transistor, on the heat sink, to the DB37 connector is a two pin - code is OMC / TAH ORO5J C4411E The next in line to the left of the two-pin is a three-in - code is F8 F42 FQPF 3ONO6
-
another good part idea would be the map light bezel - they don't survive too well.
-
I opened up the megasquirt. it is a V3.0 board, and there are three pin transistors along the heat sink with mica insulators. None of them are marked as BIB373, though.

yeap - I'm reading! if we crank, we're closer to driving than you think

What would you pay? (Craigslist, Central Florida)
rreford replied to Vneck's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
i've bought two 240s, all from west coast. worth going west for no/less rust issues - also enjoyed the trip back! seen some great national parks and such, then a Whole Lotta Corn....go west, young man -
tell me what you need exactly - i'll measure mine

i'm putting together my '73 240 turbo project. I bought a '75 280 tank and had it boiled out and baffled. now i'm ready to load up with fuel and found that the shop left out the drain plug. I'm having a hard time finding the right size and thread pitch plug to fill the drain hole. can anyone tell me the size and pitch of that drain bolt?

sweet - thanks, Guys!

anyone tried this conversion? the stock paper box won't hold the ecu i'm planning, so i'm wondering if a 260 glove box might do the trick. i know there is a 260 in a local pick-n-pull, just wondering if anyone knows how/whether it will fit

you may be right - i thought tokico was blue. I will check them for stamps. Thanks! -
bought these springs unpacked, put them on my '70 240 with new KYB adjustable shocks. The car is just sitting wrong - high in the front, low in the back. I put the shorter thicker spring on the fronts (spring on the left), the taller thinner spring on the back. Did I do this backwards?

Found this in some old email notes - thanks to Steve Golik! > According to my local Z car expert, the '77-'84 810/Maxima transmissions are interchangeable with the Z cars. He has done this swap before as he has several 810/Maxima's in his field (along with his 300+ Z cars). > > One thing I noticed about the 810/Maxima tranny is that the filler plug is on the left side of the transmission, opposite to the Z car tranny. But this doesn't seem to present any problems when changing fluid with the transmission already in the car. > > The Nissan truck transmission (and 200SX) transmission also share this "left side" filler plug. > > In case you're wondering about the ratios, here they are: > > '77-'78 810 (up to production date 6/78): > > 1 3.592 > 2 2.246 > 3 1.415 > 4 1.000 > R 3.657 > > Only a four speed was offered during this time. The differential on the sedans, not the wagon) was an R180 with a ratio of 3.70. > > >From 810 production dates 7/78 to 12/79: > > four speed five speed > 1 3.321 3.321 > 2 2.077 2.077 > 3 1.308 1.308 > 4 1.000 1.000 > 5 - 0.864 > R 3.382 3.382 > > Again, the sedan differential was an R180 with a ratio of 3.70. > > >From the 1/80 production date to the 6/84 Maxima: > > 1. 3.321 > 2. 2.077 > 3. 1.308 > 4. 1.000 > 5. 0.864 > R 3.382 > > Only the five speed was offered. The sedan differential was still an R180, but the ratio changed to 3.54.

do you know if the 'motorcycle' version of 14mm colortune would be same as what you are using? Several Colortunes listed on eBay are supposedly for motorcycle tuning. Thanks!

what issues are you having with the replacement seal kit? i've done it recently -
woww - remember buying one of those pots back in the day. just like you said, designed to fool the ecu (throwing that term around loosely - think pong instead of atari 2600). richens the fuel mixture, kills gas mileage - does nothing for an NA 280
