  1. It may be a generation gap and/or just different automotive influences. I am 40 years old and the cars that got my juices flowing were the Boss Mustangs, Z28 Camaros and the Pantera's in the early 70's. I remember the Datsun bug was big in the mid-70's, when outside of Dobi and Nissan Competition and in San Diego there was a shop called Performance World you could walk in and buy and order parts from( NO INTERNET). How many of you guys remember the 2.8 V6 Mercury Capris? Now with the internet, Speedvision, Tunertransformation, Pimp my ride, Overhaulin and Spike TV the various magazines it is totally different world. It is funny working on cars it is still like lifting weights and bodybuilding, you are working and sweating in the garage and your friends and family ask why? Your own passion and creation Glenn A. Inliner for now BOWTIE COMING SOON !!!
  2. GillSS1, I wish I was ready to purchase at this moment. I have to get through Xmas ( 4 and 6 year old and wife) and also planning a vacation to Las Vegas for Xmas and New Years. Congratulations and hate you have to sell the Ls1. This is my second Z, my first was 1977 triple webber stroker I had to sale due to the birth of my son 6 years ago, so I understand. I will start buying parts the moment I get back from vacation Jan 05 for this project. Thanks for the offer, wish I was ready now. Glenn A.
  3. I am a new member, however I have been around hot rods, drag racing and customs cars when you could put together a 460 ci Ford Galaxie and drag race at Carlsbad or race for pink slips on Mulholland (hope I spelled correctly). My father taught me several things about working on cars. First, engine and drivetrain comes before cosmetics, and second if you do half a$$ effort and work it will reflect in the workmanship in the end. If you are a CAR GUY, you can appreciate anything from a Detomaso Pantera, Mopar Road Runner and yes also Hondas. But you gotta love the Datsun Z Hybrid or not !!!!!!
  4. Thanks for the feedback gentlemen !!! Good afternoon Mike, I have been looking at this Ebay site for awhile and like the LT1 price , however Sallee Chevrolet has a 350/380 hp crate motor (turnkey Sallee special) that is very vice. The engine has similar set-up to a motor configuration similar to the Car Craft ? or Chevy Hiperformance? I think it was Car Craft. I am really leaning towards the LT1, and by the new year maybe JTR may have the LS1 kit ready to go. Thanks, Glenn
  5. I have read the JTR manual. Sorry for the typo. I read the manual everyday just to soak the information in !!!!
  6. Good afternoon, I have been reading and reading the information on the HybridZ for a little over a year, and I have the JTR manual so many times I can not even count. After Xmas I planned to get busy on sourcing parts and beginning my drivetrain swap. Has anyone had any experience with this salvage yard ? Thanks Glenn A. BOWTIE POWER COMING SOON !!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7929872468&category=33615
