  1. now I see it, you dont have a design plan for the second piece do you? the mount looks like a chevy mount, but then theres another piece...
  2. im talking precision brake company, http://www.magnumforce.com, and other BRAKE KIT COMPANYS.. im wondering if it would be cheaper to go with a kit for a 5lug mustang(same bolt pattern) and get the mounting hardware from AZC
  3. is it quite? or is there a nasty tone?
  4. how many hitmans are there? I have a 351W going into a 74, but im boosting it. its going t be very similar to the chevy swaps, and there doing fone with block huggers..
  5. So as Ive torn my fenders off, seen what is salvagable and what is in the "toss" pile Ive gone to replacing pannels.. I had seen a fiberglass front for the Z for sale 30 mins from my location(anything Z related within 500 miles is a miracle) and planed on going to look at them. What I did not see is the "Buy it Now" function and it was bought with 6 days left. Now ive gone sourcing other fenders.. the questions: 1. What are the weight differnece's between the steel and glass fenders? I know hoods can be heavier if fiberglass. 2. What about flex and paint? I dont want to pain the car and have if bend apart. 3. Ive read about removing the steel will lose support of the frame and cause unwanted flex, although the radiator support will be removed, a new one angled in, the strut bars supported(to eachother and the firewall). Ive got a few different drawings planned for it. Im wanting to remove as much weight a possible, but right now the motor is coming first..
  6. I guess, but from what I can see, the mounting brackets and the size of the braided lines seam to be the only difference, both of witch come with both kits. One allthough comes with rotor/hubs with bearings and a 13 inch rotor. superlite caliper.. but the AZC seams to be a dynalite.
  7. Im looking into the brakes as well.. Id like to go with a willwood 13" kit but pricing seams to be weird.. the willwood kit for a mustang 5lug is 795, yet I cant get a price lower then 1200 for the SAME kit in the Z. I also looked into the cobra brakes, but Id prefere the wilwoods up front
  8. how about a pic of my car in pieces and the parts im putting in?
  9. Well I have a 5lug settup and for some reason its much more for the rotor hat that goes with it.. I was quoted 1470 from percision brake company, and 1200 + 300(for 13" rotor) from AZC my question, do you think it would be cheaper to get the mounting brackets from AZC and use a different companys 5Lug kit (willwood PDF says I can get it for 750)?
  10. wtf is that anyway? says turbo ford on the top and has a big *** 3" dP.. turbo is the weaksauce though... if it doesnt swallow my hand its not ****. ;D
  11. werd.. and go to menards/home depot/lowes get a cheap grinder and a 4" cupped wire brush and have at that surface rust.. 30seconds and its gone.. ive taken the front fenders off and done the frame with em in like 20 minutes.. im tackeling the engine bay wendsday..
  12. how much was the superlite kit? I got quoted from percision brake company and am wondering what the difference is.
  13. tell you what, we can swap.. Im about 20% more rust then you... floors, pannels, battery tray.. Welcome to the world of old Zs...
  14. are those solid mounts? no urithane? i bet that thing vibrates like a mofo..
  15. JESUS thats alot of files.. ill be roaming your server for a WHILE!
  16. for some reason my second thread was deleted.. what about things like a rusty hinge, or little things like that? and wondering if there was somthing like a thinner that I can rub surface rust with... otherwise my grider is saying hello..
  17. more over, would you fully remove the rust or are you justs por-15ing over it? id like to remove all of mine, for fear of it spreading, but will por stop it?
  18. any idea on getting any of these pics? mainly of the mounts???
  19. there isnt a mount kit for it as of right now.. hitman is making some up but hes making a whole kit and hasnt really listed sepearte parts as of yet.. the 302 is a good motor, but dont plan on going over 500.. the block will let go..
  20. there are much more heads then the AFR's for a budget... The 351 heads are a good cheap upgrade as well as the gt40's. And did the cobra have different gearing?
  21. the z's here are super rare.. I show a pic of one and people are like "what is that?" the car guys I talk to are wanting almost day to day updates of the car and I dont even have it in the indy house yet
  22. i agree that this thread is going nowhere, and Im allready planning my own swap stuff.. but if he comes out with one before I go to fab my mounts then Ill prob go with it for ease... but as of right now im making my own..
