  1. What should I go with? Ive seen clarke 130ens, with a cart helmet and gloves go for 379, hobart models, lincon models, and all kinds of stuff.. I dont have a 230V plug in my hose(at least I cant find one) so it has to be a 110 115 volt range unit.. I read Ill need more then a 110, so I was looking at the 130 series of welders.. im stuck, im going to buy it prob monday or sometime next week.. know a place? know a friends uncle who needs to get rid of one? Lemme know..... im mostly welding sheetmetal, exaust pipes, small brackets, and maybe my roll cage..

  7. situation fixed.. I prefer the voltmeter and not rewiring the dash, plus its easyer to find a dash from a 280 anyway.. needless to say, I have a hybridZ allright.. the dash, guages, engine, and everything else is mixed

  9. dude, watch out for ebay turbos.. i saw some glued together.. GLUED!!! I just finished a GP for a Master Power turbo.. Less known, brazilan made and Mustang proven.. i havent heard any downers for them so it seams cool so far.. if I ever git off my but and get my motor running ill let you know how it goes..
  10. im switching the guages from my 260 dash(cracked and torn up) into my not so bad 280 dash.. problem is my 260 guage is a amp meter, and my 280 is a volt meter with a charge light.. the harness is totaly different... the 260 one is a single wire while the 280 one is a harness... ive seen a pic of a guage in pieces, can I merge the 2?
  11. i would see valve float, crank going, or the block(mains) going before "throwing" the rod.. 94... that has the hyper pistons... id change those as soon as the chance rises..

  13. werd on ^^^ thats why i mentioned the LEGAL copys.. bearshare and limewire will have it, just not legaly.. and the only difference I noticed in MAX was that it sayed educational version in the splash screen, and in the info.. my "other" copy didnt.. same features and same stuff. only difference is that the educational versions are usally just a CD and install instructions, thinking you will be using a instructor and a textbook for the leasons. my free maya copy does take things out of the whole version, mainly the furr feature witch is one of the coolest IMO. but a serial code later and it workes...
  14. what about dannys? they quoted me 149 for a passenger side factory pannel shipped to my door.
  15. the stock redline is a bit higher then that on the 302's ive seen.. guys here take them to 6200-6400 with stock internals.. the crank is good to 7k, but i read that the rods and pistons have to be changed. a aftermarket crank can be anywhere from 7-10k redline limit.. expect to pay for what you get.. why are you interested in raising the redline that hight?
  16. ive been looking through the boards but cant really find any info on allready made windows.. but ill keep looking.. main reason is my windsheild got cracked(WHILE SITTING) and if I have to replace it, i might as well go lightweight.. its a track, whats that thing doing on the street car..

  18. in college? got a brother in college? a brothers cousins aunts son in law in college? college students get software HELLA CHEAP. I can get a legal copy of maya for $40. 3ds MAX for $20. all from my colleges store. all I have to do is show my schedual.
  19. im trying to find someplace that makes lexan windows for the Z. side windows i think i can make, maybe the hatch glass(as long as it doesnt curve) but what about the windsheild? and the side glass? SEARCHED AND SEARCHED AND SEARCHED AND SEARCHED
  20. a local Z guy arround here is interested in my Z rear end(bought the motor and trans) and Im wondering what rear came stock.. I went to 3 different forums but there isnt a FAQ about it.
  21. there is a guy here in indiana with a RHD Z. he thinks its worth its worth much more then it is, and its starting to rust.. id offer somthing for it, but honestly im left handed and ive driven a triumph and it throws me all wack.
  22. your own a welder that costs more then 1200. but dont work in any buisness field that requires it.
  23. would a YZ flare be overkill for those cobra wheels? I mean there 17x10.5 and they talk about another 2" of RIM under there.. what about the subtle?
  24. if you've ever drove 6hrs to look at a Z only to get there, be able to push your hand through the frame rail and think.. "well i might be able to fix that".. when you realize parting out your "dumpster" could give you 2 months rent. when at times your house has more car parts inside then furniture when you have more car chemicals then cleaning chemicals when you see a 280zx on the back of a trailer going to oposit directions on the highway you contimplate turning arround BTW I just got home and a screw flew from the lawnmower of my roomate and put a nice crack in my windsheild..
