  1. best thing to do is to pull the valve cover.. make sure the cam is set to TDC with the block (rotate the crank pulley to tdc, and then check alignment of the cam according to the service manual. I've got it on cd if you need a pfd page or two) at tdc, pull the oil pump and realign the distributor gear to a good range to tune it to.try starting it. If you've done that.. i'll post again with a few other options. BTW, can you post the order of spark you have in the counter clockwise direction? (could have accidentally put the plugs backwards like i did 5 months ago... )
  2. I'm only in it for the sides and fronts: vs The contrast is better, and the "clears" is more of a nuetral color for the silver stripe. You can "ricer" me if you wanna. Fact is it just looks better.

  4. one thing that i noticed about the walbro is the it is decribed as an "in tank" mounted pump. does this matter? or are there two types?
  5. I did a search trying to find info on pumps.. and got like 300 posts... What's a good pump for 375cc injectors and 16 psi of boost? On the same note.. is there a post on how to install a pump like this?
  6. I have come to the decision to buy an ACT HD PP and Street Modified Disk from a local shop. What else should I replace along with it? So far I know I need to replace the throwout bearing.. what else?
  7. One other Q: on the precision gear site they have specs for example: Part: LOM59-12 Descripstion: R200 W/12MM BOLTS Ratios: ALL Spline:29 What would I need for a 1982 280zx Turbo? I was told there is a difference like the 10mm and the 12mm, plus I believe I have the R200 open.
  8. I've got a 280zx Turbo, with the r200 open differential. By reading the previous threads I've heard much about the problems with some differentials and such. I would like to be more specific: My application would be for greater than 300 hp to the crank, but less than 425. I would like to race auto-x, road race, and drag racing. Which specific brand of LSD would be good for this application? I'm looking for a price range that is good to look for so that I don't get "screwed". I'm also looking to stay cheaper as we all are. Open to ALL suggestions

I think 35lb injectors are 420cc, and bigger than stock. I was wondering if the stock fuel pump has enough volume to be able to handle the bigger injectors and the size 6 hoses I'm putting on (stock is size 4).
  10. Does anyone sell an intake pipe between the CIA and the turbo that replaces the rubber one? Maybe one that is also made for an engine with the AFM removed?
  11. I'll try to get some updated pics of the intercooler up. It looks MUCH more stock now. It's quite effective too. edit: posted another pic on the cardomain site with the intercooler setup.
  12. hey, in the third picture, you have a breather on a pipe coming off the block. What is that for?
  13. I recently pulled the head because I blew a gasket, had it resurfaced and put back on. Now I'm getting 16mpg!! I figured out where some random wire goes that comes off the 82 dizzy, and I changed the spark plugs. This improved performance greatly, but the mileage is still very low. Where should I go from here? I'm going to tune the AFM with a wideband O2 in a few days. The TPS is a 240sx's and I put a multimeter on it... works fine aparently. Are there any tricks (like unplug the O2 sensor) that I should try? Any help is appreciated.
  14. I have just installed 1.5" wheel spacers on my hubs to bring the stock wheels to the edge of the wheel well. It looks beautiful, but what affect will this have on performance? I don't have any pics of the difference yet. Should I take them off before racing at the track?
  15. I did a search and found like 34 pages worth of posts. What would be the best regulator to run with 35lb injectors and the Megasquirt ECU? Will I need a new fuel pump for the size "6" hoses?
