  1. The R180 with any kind of racing diff in it (Nissan Comp 4 pinion CLSD, Quaife, OS Giken, OBX) is good for no more then 300 ft. lbs. of torque. It sounds like you need to install the R200 and move the surge tank somewhere else.
  2. Don't focus on exact camber numbers as they can be misleading. In general, wider tires require less negative camber. You want as little static negative camber as possible and base that on tire temps, not postings on a message board. Also, more positive caster reduces your need for negative camber. One data point: -3.2 front and -2.75 back are the most negative camber I've ever run on a 240Z and that's with 225/50-14 Hoosiers. When I was running 275/45-16s the pyrometer and lap times said around -2.5 front and -2 rear worked best.
  3. And on the Sunbelt engine dyno the type of filter installed when my 3L was built made no difference in power. No filter, K&N filter, and JWT Pop Charger had no effect on power beyond statistical noise. I ran the JWT Pop Charger because it fit better over the 3" CAI I had built. I guess there's a anecdote to support whichever opinion each of us has. Ultimately I don't think it matters much as long as the chosen filter is cleaned/replaced frequently. EDIT: I do know that lots of people over oil their K&N and other oiled types of filters. A very light coating is all that's needed and I am still on the first can of K&N filter oil I ever bought.
  4. Nextel Cup cars are ~3,500 lbs on 10" wide tires. Its amazing they get around a road course as fast as they do. Take my 350Z, add 300 lbs., add 500 hp, run it on 275 width tires and try to go fast while keeping those tires from melting off the rims.
  5. 1/8" thick Viton rubber. Oil and fuel resistant and good to 300+ degrees.
  6. I dunno... I've been running K&N on everything I've owned (mini-bikes, class 5 off road bug, street, and road race) and never had a problem. IMHO no air filter is going to increase horsepower in any measurable way beyond the statistical noise inherent in any dyno.
  7. BTW... One of my 350Z parts customers is the head R&D fabricator for Joe Gibbs racing and they are building some pretty trick stuff within the rule limits. The stuff he builds is 2 to 3 years out from what's on the track today.
  8. I just love Digger. Got me a Digger T-Shirt, Digger Goggles, Digger Flag, Digger Beer Cooler, and Digger Condoms.
  9. I uploaded some into one of my albums here: http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery.php?cat=942&ppuser=7945 Trap doors are Viton flaps similar to what BMW does on their motorsports pans.
