  3. I would have only used that thing if I was driving a nuclear submarine mockup. We did have a TV that looked the one photoshopped on the wall when I was a kid.

  6. Horsepower is torque over time. I tried to calculate the horsepower from the figures on the article and I ran out of decimal places on my calculator.

  8. I suspected the Nismo header was different but wasn't sure. I've never ran or tested one so i can't compare its performance to the Stahl or the Nissan Motorsports header. YMMV.
  9. IMHO, the Stahl header is superior to the Nismo (Nissan Motorsports here in USA) header. Does its superiority justify the additional cost over the Nismo header? For the vast majority of folks building an L6 the answer is no. But if I was racing and needed that extra little bit to get on the podium or win, the price difference is insignificant.
  10. $1,000 for a stainless header (304, 321, or 347) is a good price.
  11. FYI... get at least one 20lb. dry chem fire extinguisher. A 10lb. extinguisher can work on a small fire if you're quick, but when the ♥♥♥♥ starts hitting the fan you need a 20lb. unit as backup.
  12. Its not a mass damper as used by the Renault F1 team or Nissan on the Nismo Z. Its just something on the Vibe to reduce Viberation.
  13. I have three 20lb. fire extinguishers in the shop spread around as you mention above. I also have a 5 gallon pail of sand for a metal fire (I weld Magnesium and Titanium sometimes). When the fire dept. does their annual inspection they are very happy.
  14. Raise the nose of the diff so it matches the angle of the tailshaft, but not more the 2 degrees. Pinion angle is important and too high will cause increased wear on the diff gears.

  20. I'm confused. If you've worked the stock fender out to give the same clearance as a cut fender with ZG flare, why not just nicely finish the stock fender and have something unique?
  21. Think of it this way... Mr. Hanky's development and testing has been two races. How many other race cars do any of us know that lead 33% of the second race entered?

  23. Take a die grinder and oval the three holes in the top of the strut tower. An extra 1/8" each laterally should be enough.
