Let us know what you find at the junk yard. I think an automotive engine recycler would be better, no?

ive searched the archives and i havent found any one certain opinion.
You didn't find any opinions? There are threads upon threads detailing the opinions of many and outlining the pros and cons of each. Perhaps a bit more searching and you'll find what you are looking for methinks.
Also, please understand, due to the technical nature of this site and the desire to preserve the English therein, I strongly urge you to make an effort to use proper grammar and spelling. That may seem harsh to you, but the truth of the matter is that the admin tend to tool shed posts that show laziness at many levels.
To answer your original question, go JTR if you are doing a Gen I SBC swap.

Where did you find prices for those Recaros? I looked around and the only ones I could find were on eBay out of a 911, asking $2500/set
=/
Ah, they range from $555 per seat to $845 per seat (Nurburgring) depending on what kind of material, etc. I was making a general comment about Recaros that are period correct looking rather than the specific seats in Flex's first link. The Nurburgring seats are VERY close to the ones in the very first post of the thread--true, they are not as detailed as the Japanese ones, but at least they are quality and they are cheaper. I'm just biased toward the Recaros because my brother's butt was saved in an accident due to the steel frame of the Recaro, so I lean to them more. Eh, it's just my $.02 only.

It seems that the front springs are a tad bit shorter then the back - in other words theres more of a gap on the back. Maybe they still need to break in. =]
Quite possibly. The lowering springs I put on my Volvo had to "settle in" over a period of a few weeks. The car's ride height looked better (believe it or not) as it evened out. I suspect the same for your springs---at least I'm hoping they do the same. This is a "matched kit" for the Z, so I would think it's going to happen.
I have Eibach springs on my 240Z and the body is pretty even as it sits so I think you're OK.

Vinh, I have always admired your work---it's like art!!
Simply beautiful!!

I was only expressing what I don't have the time and money for. He is doing a great job and it goes way beyond what a lot of people plan to do. His car looks great.
Gotcha. I was reading something else into it. No worries.

Thank you Captain Obvious. I kinda noticed that as well.
He wasn't being sarcastic and was answering your question. John Coffey builds race cars among other things. You misunderstood him. I don't think he needed your comment....

You should have shortened the head light buckets and raised the fronts up to give it that S30 look and then mod the hood to match.
What if that's not the look he wanted? His work is great and his design is his own. I'd love a flared S130!

The Recaros are better priced and look just just as cool
Thanks for the link!!

I finally got around to wiring up my push start button in my 73 240z. I removed my cigarette lighter since it didnt even work and installed the s2000 button in its place. Wired it all up and now my car starts with the push of a button. It also looks pretty sweet in my dash. Heres a garbage picture i took when i finished the install (it was dark and i took it with my phone).
Very cool
That's the same place I want to do the same thing. Did you heist that from a junkyard or ebay? Looks good!

Doc, I have been there in the heat of the summer--nothing like being in the Sonoran Desert on the way to Hermosillo and Miramar in August!
Check out Miramar if you can---nice beach on the Sea of Cortez.

Though I post a pic of the finished lamps . 61 Caddy
I like the way they turned out---almost looks period correct. The small lights look good in the narrowed panel. Nice work

For $1600 I could buy Recaro seats and not worry about having to look period correct. Man, the price makes me twitch.

I'll check out the H&K, thanks.
Good choice. My friend owns an HK USP; he loves it and won't give it up...even when I tried to pull it from his cold dead fingers... j/k
Seriously, if you don't mind spending money, HK makes some serious hardware. I'll get back into guns as soon as I finish my car. I hope I'm still alive then.

1.93 yesterday on Morgan Road in Oklahoma City.
Wow, that's cheap. Gas is $2.03/gal in Rock Hill, SC today. I filled the Suburban yesterday for only $68.00 (partial tank). I was happy

I have always admired your car, Mark, and wonder why you went with the other wheels instead of the CCWs you once had. The work on your car is nothing short of amazing and the new door panels will look right at home inside the passenger compartment!!

Hey, they look pretty cool on that orange Z. Too bad the front ones aren't on there too.
Did you buy all four or just the rears like on the orange Z?

He stops dead in his tracks, about 20 yards from the car, turns around and yells "PI$$ ON IT!" and starts running back to the car, unzipping...
I'm like... huh? What? As he jumps on the front bumper screaming 'PI$$ ON IT PI$$ ON IT!' As he starts hosing the fire... I joined in, and wow...it worked. Smelly steam cloud arose and caught us full-on in the face, so we're leaning backwards as far as we can so not to get pee-steam in our eyes. Really made directional control hard. Rick slipped on the bumper and fell backwards, unable to immediately cease his fire retardant effort, he wet himself thoroughly in 'rain' of his own making.
AAHAHAHAAAaaaa!
:lmao:
That was great! Sooo funny!!
My sides ache from laughing

HAH! I'm not into that kind of thing; I just wanted to see what y'all would say
Thanks for taking the bait and stating your preference
*Ahem* I prefer ethanol over methanol

The metal has a clean look to it already. It looks good, but is it big enough to fit those tires without scuffing? Good luck!!
