  1. This is true. You most likely got the last RGM RB set. That isn't to say there will not be more in the future. That is to say there will be no more until the release of the RB-R. Hang in there guys, I know everyone is getting on the edge of their patience, but I suspect it is well worth the wait. Yes, I know I have been saying that for a long while now, but then it must really be worth it, right? We are very close guys.
  2. This is correct. I have heard of people only paying $700 shipped when paying with money order. Currently there are no more RGM RB's. There should be RB's in flat black still, you would have to ask the representative.
  3. Does anyone know where to get the air dam added onto the gnose in this picture: Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
  4. You get these wheels from the North American Rota representative who is located in Hayward, CA. His website is rotawheel.com. Hope that helps clear things up! I have been promised the samples will come in this week for sure. We shall see...
  5. I personally feel the extra $250-300 or so spent when going the Wilwood route is well worth it. Performance aside (and this is a big bit to put aside - I think little doubt the Wilwood's superiority to the Toyota stuff), just the weight of the components, the cost of replacing consumables, and the wide selection of pads and rotors puts the Wilwood kits far above the Toyota based kits. That is my opinion on the matter.
  6. There is royal black (glossy) and flat black (flat/matte). So... theres a couple options, not to mention the hyper black which is closer to silver imho.
  7. 5x114.3 can be done. Originally I was told that you would need 5 people to get a change in offset or bolt pattern. I don't know how many it is now. I would imagine more difficult to do such a change. As for redrilling, I wouldn't do that personally.
  8. It is relatively common. The -13 is the correct fitment for a stock 240z hub offset in my opinion.
  9. For a 9" front on a 240z the -13 offset is your best bet. Neither -3 or -1 has a chance of fitting. EDIT: Talking stock hubs here.
  10. Looking at the poll I do not think there will be an issue with this color. I have talked to the representative a bit about color choices and such and he will be ordering colors based off of my recommendations. So, if you guys would like a specific color, please do go ahead and 'vote' for it on the color poll here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=136150 The representative was quite busy today and we only had a couple moments to speak, but I shall ask him about the unpainted RB's tomorrow.
  11. I shall ask the representative about this just to make sure. As far as color choices and such go. Could all those interested in the RB-R's select what color they plan on choosing. Poll is here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=136150 I think this information will help greatly to reduce issues like ordering a color that nobody wants. Thanks guys!
  12. Well in the RB that would be never. Unfortunately Kim HAS to order a minimum of 10 sets so... thats how it is. We don't need 10 confirmed on the RB-R because he is willing to stick his neck out. In any case, I will let you know if others are interested in Bronze RB's.
  13. Heads up to RB buyers. There are no more RB's available in RGM at this time. There are still sets of flat black for those of you interested in that. I HIGHLY advise waiting for the RB-R samples to arrive and be photographed before panicking. If you really have your heart set on the RB style, after seeing the RB-R, I would imagine there would be others like yourself which would make a re-order on the RB viable. In any case, unless you want flat black RB's, I do advise you merely wait for the release of the RB-R.
  14. Your talking about the 17x8.5" +4's correct? If so, yes 9.5" lip to lip is correct. Wheels are measured from inside the lips. Each edge adds approximately .5". Thus 8.5" + 2*.5" = 9.5". The RB/RB-R will be 10" front and 10.5" rear by similar measuring methods. Thank you. He is a combination of all the things you stated.
  15. To both of you. I will inquire about your specific cases. Have you both spoken yet to Kim? Just confirming you do realize that shipping now brings the total to $1150 for Australia and probably France? Additionally, the RB-R is coming out soon as well, which is a new style you both might want to wait and see. If you understand all these things, and still want to place this order, go ahead and PM me your names and your email addresses. Thanks!
  16. Yeah, I know. I have thought about the direct thing too. I will talk to the representative about it. As far as I know there are two maybe three shipments that were planned for Aus.
  17. Once again, I am sorry. If you read post #1 in the second sentence I mention the Watanabe. In post #5 I posted a picture of a Watanabe. In post #9 I said that these will basically be a set of Watanabe's in 17" for 1/3 of the price. I know people have different preferences as far as styling, I am trying to please both groups here and feel that the RB-R is more in the spirit of the original group buy. They should both look phenomenal. As far as caliper clearance, I specified .875" from face at 5.5" radius, so it should be fine if the manufacture spent the time to read the documents. As far as color choices being black or shiny black. On the RB at the moment it is only RGM and flat black. On the RB-R I was alerted there shall be significantly more options. I apologize that all I can offer you is the $50 off and a 'paint it yourself' option, but that is where it is at. You have been 'in' on the group buy for a long time and I do hate to disappoint, but I am trying to keep our options open and go for what I think is going to be the best possible wheel for all of us.
  18. Bad news for Australian buyers. The representative has just found out that it will cost $400 to ship to Australia due to the increase in shipping prices (they doubled). This is terrible news for you all and could easily be the difference in what makes/breaks the deal. Unfortunately right now, that is what the cost is. I will obtain a shipping quote from my local post office right now to see if it can be sent any cheaper through myself. Sorry guys. EDIT: Unfortunately FedEx quoted me $270... a box, that is times four, for their economy services. USPS will do it for $127.50 a a box. I am terribly sorry guys, shipping has gone through the roof. As far as I know there are no changes to the shipped price of the RB or RB-R for the mainland USA.
  19. There are some Watanabes that look similar to the RB. It really looks like a Panasport to me though. The RB-R is the one that is supposed to look like the Watanabe R-Type.
  20. I do not believe I have said such things. Please quote me where I have said an 18x9 and 18x9.5 with a 4mm offset will clear stock suspension. Then I will try and figure out if I had a typo or what. Quite frankly an 18x9" and 18x9.5" +4 offset won't clear. Not with out a spacer. Fortunately 18x9" and 18x9.5" wheels in +4 have nothing to do with this group buy. This buy is for 17x9" -13 front and 17x9.5" -19 rear wheels. They do not even offer the Rota RB or RB-R in an 18" diameter as far as I know. Additionally, your not going to be able to source these for quite some time through anyone but the North American Rota representative, ie. "THE STORE" is not going to have them. If there is anything else you need help with or cleared up, feel free to PM me. It is deceiving. The rear 17x9.5" -19 sticks out approximately 1.5-2". The 17x9" negative 13 (-13) will only come in an additional .5". You may be able to roll the fenders or do something similar if you are trying to keep stock body lines, but I know little about the process or the options. Which style? Those wheels are unpainted, I assume that is just primer on them. It really doesn't look that great in that white as it is a primer of sorts and not a finished paint scheme. For instance a 'white' wheel would have a much more powerful white. The white on those is a bit hazy and gray. I can inquire on Monday for you though. Would you be interested in that white, or a painted white?
  21. It will clear stock suspension and they are $950 shipped to Aus. last I heard. If you want more specific information, PM me. The rep's email is: kimcosmic@juno.com
  22. You could do a mild flare on the rear and fit the 17x9 just as easily as a 17x9.5" as the back spacing is identical. You will need spacers for the front 17x8.5" +4 though. As for exactly how far it will stick out. Well .5" less than EMWHYR0HEN's and the 17x9.5" rear, but beyond that I personally don't have the exact measurement. Maybe EMWHYR0HEN can chime in.
  23. It SHOULD fit the front if you have removed the lower valance and are running an air damn that flows down and to the front (like the Xenon). Just barely it should fit. Might take a little 'finaggling' to get it to fit though in some cases. A lot of this depends on the settings of the suspension as well (caster, stiffness, ride height, etc.).
  24. They look fantastic. I am very happy you like the look, sorry about the paint in the lug holes. Hmmm. I feel historically that the center caps from Rota are cheesy looking as well. I think I will end up seeing if I can machine my own or something, but that might come out worse.
  25. The phone number of the Rota representative is: (510) 786-1726
