have fun, but remember to take a break. i am so burnt out i just threw up, literally. ahahha been working on it every day after work and on the weekends since november 19th 2010 and dont use earls fittings they are nothing but a pain in ass. 10grand is about right if its done right...
-
thanks, im still trying to finish it up, saying a few choice words at it tonight, very close to take a sledge hammer to it.
-
Well here is about 3/5ths of the fittings i used... holy **** dont do it. i could have a nice single turbo for the price.
Here is the surge tank i made.

yea i am turning the throttle by hand and looking at the computer. when i go to set tps voltages all i see is .18 for low end but when i am done setting it it says .14 is the low... i never see it go off of .18 so i dunno but i just ordered a q45 tps. my tps is a bit odd. i can flick the bottom, or press down on the sensor and my voltages go all over the place so i think it might be a bad sensor.
i did go to change injector flow rates and used the 1200cc @ 50psi and changed it to 440cc @50 psi. but i still am backing a hell of alot of fuel out. no biggy though its running decent now. A tuner is gonna be about 5 hours away and i have done so much crap to this thing i hate for something to break or not be right stuck at the tuners. haha be nice to drive it down the road 1st ( 20% throttle or something)
-
yea thats why i went with the ems. i dont know about this oem tps though. no matter what i do to it the voltage varies some. i will get it working about like it should (ems says its a 12% after calibration) then floor it and it only sees like 72%... so i guess i am going to try to find another tps.
-
yea i am using the aem one but it ran like a raped cat that just had a bath on a cold winter day . i did all the injector conversions and all that fun stuff. there was only one tune for the rb26. it used 1200cc so i did the wizard. it did crank but i would hesitate to say it would make it out of my bay door. I hooked up my LC-1 and saw the AFR was in the 8s at idle... backed that out and she sounds much better already. need to do alot of stuff before i am even close to dyno tuning. I'm just excited it is running.

Hey guys i thought this would be a helpful thread for all you ems guys.
Please post your calibration file along with a description on the setup.

did you ever do anything with this dave?
-
ooops i just ordered an aem ems... oooh im sooooo broke
-
ahh crap mines different. maybe i can look at the wiring diagram for the 25 and figure out mine from there. Thanks for the help
-
yea running open timing belt cover is not a good idea, one little rock or dropped bolt or anything like that can be quite expensive.
-
HEY HEY you can have form and function with a clear cover (my 26) haha
-
tomorrow is cloudy with a chance of AEM EMS

yea im sure jb weld would work. i just like welding

mine is 3 wire oval (oval as in rectangle with chamfered corners) and the other one is a 3 wire square plug (1 port being blank)...
thanks bud.

can some one take a picture of the wiring on the front and rear o2 sensor harnesses. this harness is totally shot i am gonna have to use butt connectors. the wires were ripped out of the harnesses so i dont know what wire goes where.
R33, i think it matters

well i changed gears and started tinkering on the gt mod tank, got that all plumbed up and went to throw away a few trimings and low and behold there was a 90 degree rubber radiator hose that one of the other guys had to trim off. i nabbed it and although this paticualr one willnt work because the one leg needs to be about an inch longer but i can find another one, i think i can just put a regular radiator hose over these male bungs, the hell with it. i know i can put these earls fittings in the mill and mill them down and use a crimp colar which will allow for another 2 inches or so of hose, but still thats only like 3-3.5 inches of hose... ehhhhhh i think not.
what do you guys think about just putting a regular radiator hose 90 and 2 hose clamps over the bungs. i think it will be fine. maybe put a bead of silicone on the threads and slip on the hose if anything. maybe i can make a beer bong out of these fittings ahahah

its a database of people who knew what theirs came from basicly.
gee that link didnt last long at all.. the website was easier to read

come help me. i cant even get a damn radiator hose to work. if you put your hand on any part of my engine bay i can tell you something i had to modify on it. litterally. its getting old.

i havent taken any measurements, but it looks like these would also fit the clutch master cylinder too. is that true?
