still pluggin away?

Ok guys i am pretty much done with the intake mods so i am ready to start plumbing her.
I have a aftermarket intake manifold and am ditching the stock oil cooler too. Here is my question for now.
In this picture, are these where the water return lines for the turbo (hard steel lines that have the banjo bolt) will go? i am redo all this in braided line and getting rid of all this dumb stuff on here. the oem lines where all kinked and broken and some where missing when i got the motor so im trying to double check.
About the AAC, i am running a throttle body so wouldn't i have to weld a bung on my charge pipe before the throttle body and hook up the AAC to that for it to work correctly, right?

Hey guys, i have a 11mm fuel rail and i would like to get this think cranked up on the stock injectors for right now. can i just use a thicker o-ring on the stock (10.5mm) injectors? or will this just blow out...

It's a 3/4" BSPT.
The best price I found was at Pegasus Racing. http://www.pegasusau...sp?Product=3230
thanks TurboSE

totally agree but here is one on ebay just fyi

Does anyone know the thread size and pitch of the rearmost coolant line under the intake manifold. i am running a custom oil cooler so i was going to order all these fittings but i am out of town and forgot to measure it. rb26dett
its the one on the left in this pic. thanks, just trying to save 2 days
this is another picture of it (stony's)

yea i am using an 80mm throttle body. i will have to reply when i get back to the shop, i cant remember what i was refering to. i think i was talking about the water ports that bolt to the bottom of this assembly.
-
yea i was thinking just enforcing the floorboard area but would prefer plates that bolted to the engine. i guess i can make it either way...
-
anyone running a scatter shield? i searched but didn't return anything... post pics if so.
-
ok got mine drilled and tapped (except for the water ports im gonna weld those on. my tap seems likes its way to long to get it to thread on the water ports without hitting the center bolt hole). just to be clear you do leave the bottom alone water "port/log" alone correct.
also what size did you use to hook up the swirl pot to the radiator? 12an? i see stony h as his swirl pot ports in a horizontal line and not vertical. i guess as long as they are submerged it doesn't really matter.

ahhh thats what i have been looking for.. finally found it...
aww... dead link

10 bux difference in the intake gasket set and this i mean... i do need to find the inner gasket though.
-
just to be clear is goes between the head, not just under the butterflys. so you have to completely tear down the intake manifold.... i was doing it anyway so it only cost me exta 10 bux... why not....

Well, its going slow as hell with the holidays and family in town. Got her all stripped down and the block painted with Por 15 engine enamel. got the water feeds and oil feed braided lines ran, fuel sump finished and primed (not pictured yet), r230 mounted with energy suspension bushings (not pictured and still have to play with alignment seems to be far off to the passenger side) and have the intake side of the block torn down. Waiting on the oil cooler sandwich/thermostat to get here, and trying to figure out what i need to reinstall. i will probably weld up something similar to what stony is running on his coolant lines on the manifold. The stock setup has way to much bullshit.

They are around $2-2500.

get back to work, you cant let me have my 26 up and idling before yours

i ordered one of those about 2 weeks ago for my RB. i had one on my turbo prelude and it definitely kept the heat off the manifold (cant cook chicken while you go down the interstate anymore, ) ... as for hp gains i wouldn't expect anything.

i got my ATI from summit about 2-3 weeks ago for like 495.

Hi,
in Holland is a company that build in a electric powersteering. The powerunit is mounted unther the dash so you don't see anything from it.
It works great and the steering power is adjustable!

Good thread, wish pics where up

mine was brittle as hell.

yea me too.. well today i welded some on the fuel tank sump. i am going to take a night off. 1st one on a month. i feel bad, but i am completely exhausted... so for tonight its just grand tourismo 5 and some beers. hope to get the fuel tank sump done tomorrow and button up the braided lines for the oil and water feeds for the turbos. then time to pull off the intake manifold. i got one of those fancy ones on the way. got the clutch put back on, flywheel turned and so on. i hate to put in the stock clutch but it looked like it has enough meat on it to last an hour or two. haha i think at this point i would rather get her running. i am debating going AEM ems series 2. it would save me a few hundred bux in sensors if i did it now vs later, not to mention the fab time on the intake stuff... but thats probably gonna have to wait for the tax returns....
anyway... dont hate on the night off

yea mine looked like that too, i went with an ATI. boy was that puppy on there too. took the biggest pulley puller i had and a heavy slide hammer.
water line and IAC (AAC) question

On the AAC and the Air Regulator (bolted to the bottom of the butterflys) this is what i was thinking about doing
On my setup, the AAC bolts directly to the intake manifold. so i was thinking instead of welding a bung on my charge pipe i would just use a small air filter on it.
For the Air regulator i was thinking of welding a -10an bung on the bottom of the manifold and hook up the one side to that and then run another filter on the other side of that...
anyone see any problems with that?
