  1. Ok so Ive finally been able to set aside some time to working on the car again (been down for awhile now) I just got done with a silvermine rear brake upgrade, TTT rear LCA's, "rebuilding" my r200 vlsd installing a bunch of needed gauges, installing a fast 92mm COMPLETELY redoing my fuel system, installing a 10 gallon fuel cell, new tune, new melling oil pump, 92mmTB and LS2 MAF, new 42lb injectors and a bunch of other crap i cant remember right now.. oh wait and a dual 3" exhaust system that im still working on Soooooo i figure while i have it on the stands i will continue to address any other issues i have with it at this time. The one thing that has always bugged me about the this car is the way the previous owner slapped together the cooling system and intake setup.. I mean it looks like complete shit.. So basically i need all you guys to pull toegther and just do this for me lol no seriously i know there are alot of threads with a bunch of different info here and there but if you guys can throw out part numbers, suggestions, photos of what you have that works im all ears. As you can see i need a good cold air system, a better way to plumb the radiator hose and possibly some good fans mounted BEHIND the radiator.. thanks in advance

    Diff mount

At this point I'd rather just pay someone to do it. I've got ALOT of other projects going on with this car at the moment. SunnyZ I put it here for a reason, I figured the V8 guys would know more about a tough rearend.. No replys so off to drivetrain I suppose

    Diff mount

Does anyone make a short nose r200 vlsd front diff mount that will accommodate dual exhuast? I'm currently running a TTT rear diff mount and have modified my rear lower crossmember to except dual pipes. The car is a 77' 280z by the way I'm looking for a production version of this
  4. Yeah I bought it 18hrs after it went up for sale lol probably one of the better deals this site has ever seen. Granted there was alot of work to be done but the basics had been done and it was a great platform. I will defienetly PM you some pictures. I am planning to build my exhuast system in the next 2-3 weeks. I have shorties right now so obviously long tubes would change my system. If we got everything lined up how long would it take you to get a set finished? I'm itching to get back on the road and my exhuast system is the last major hurdle so I'm looking to get it done quickly.. A set of longtubes will make building the rest of the system alot easier on me
  5. Ill be messing around with it this weekend so ill get picks Saturday morning. Yes the car came from a young kid out of Indiana. Many, many, many things have changed since then about the only thing that is the same is the way it looks. I've been working on this thing in the shadows, no build thread etc. ill post up results and updated pictures when I get through.
  6. I may be in the market for a set of bolt on long tubes.. PM me a price if you get this to work out.
  7. Ran into the same problem When I went over my suspension a couple weeks ago. I put some thread tape around the gland nut and tightened the hell out of it with the biggest pipe wrench I had.

    JCI fittings

I was not asking what they are capable of handling, I'm well aware of it. Your previous post insinuated that JCI fittings where some way inferior to AN becuase of their inability to withstand vibration? Maybe i should have been more clear as to avoid peoples opinons on the two fittings. I am seeking photo documentation of other fuel systems using JCI fittings, that is all.

    JCI fittings

JCI can stand up to 3,000lbs + of hydraulic pressure on commercial construction equipment.. Not sure how much more abuse you can get. The frac outfitter my company uses, uses only JCI on the frac trucks. Those frac trucks regularly vibrate lug nuts off of the 18 wheelers and they are parked 90% of the time. JCI fittings are 10times stronger than any AN fitting.. Besides weight why not run them?
  10. Has anyone here upgraded their fuel system using JCI fittings instead of AN? I'm looking for ideas of what people are using and in what configurations.
  11. Get it on video, I always enjoy the ones you post. Most of them are very high quality. Its funny becuase all of the Z's that i stalked on you tube that actually got me interested in these cars where born right here.. funny how i used to see the videos and be like damn i wish i had one.. now im buying parts from them lol
  12. im going to focus on the 280z first
  13. Ok I get it. I will not have access to the strut alignment tools you used. When going back over it this weekend I will do my best to make sure it is aligned properly.
  14. So what your saying is that when the suspension is compressed without the spring on it, it will force the spindle to move to its "proper" location and I should "shim" to keep it in that spot?
  15. Welp.. I defiently tightened everything up before I set it on the ground. I plan on going back through it with the right specs before I drive it anyhow.
  16. Lol yeah that sounds like a bad idea. I need the specs for the big bolts that threads into the LCA bushing area. I noticed the tighter i got them the less free movement up and down the rear LCA had.
  17. Does anyone have a source for suspension torque specs? I'm looking for the rear in particular.
  18. I thought you where running YT for some reason. Rags did you notice any significant gains with the YT?
  19. Sunny did you install the yella terra rocker arms with the rest of everything or did you do it on a seperate occation? I'm curious if they really do as well as they are advertised.
