The Skylines and SX have it as well.

So!
i'll bet that thing still runs and drives if you cut the roof off -
Suck it up and get over it..................
You will regret selling the beast! Step back and take a breather till your ready to get back at her......you will enjoy it more than your first time.
Ive been at mine for 18 years! You dont think Ive had moments of hell...? Believe me, speaking from experience.......you will survive!
-
So my 2 options are:
- spend $300 for a set a brand new EAGLE rods..delivered
- spend about $125+ to shot peen and add new ARP fasteners
It seems that the frugal approach is go stock....but then, you still have old rods....and some doubts.
I think I will go Eagle.....I can sell off my 2 sets of OEM rods and make up some of the difference.
They sound like a decent product...but are they US or China made?? The local machine shop says Chinese and swears by them as well.
Maybe overkill for 300HP but then....I may turn up the boost sooner or later....
Thanx all..........

Right now Jason Im good. Got the 3 versions covered. Should have thought of you first! Right in town and all!
John is testing the mid year lengths and Bernard is testing the later straps.
They will be available soon....ya right, said that before!
what year do you need jerry for testing?I have the red '76 280z (currently now inop, lol)
-
Got the mid series 280Z straps...in my hand. They look great and I apologize for the delays. It was a priority thing ...and ...I needed to make up longer strap blanks.
Bottomline...as soon as I obtain a test volunteer to confirm fitement they will be available for sale.
John...are you interested? If so PM me to review......
Thanx
Jerry
Thanks,Read the PM but cannot reply for 30 mins... keep me in the loop.

So Toyota has decided tp enter the Super car scene with this high $300K ride.
Considering this will be a flagship Im surprised it looks so much like a 350/GTR/Astin Martin/Porche mix. Especialy the front grill opening.....that screams 350!
Im sure it will be a well built car but I cant help but consider the styling as knock-off lame. I also believe the price point a "bit" high.
Too bad....I dont like the direction that Toyota is taking with current styling efforts...and this sure wont change my mind.
As far as performance goes...no biggie either....R8, Z06 or GTR...or Ferrari...much better deals.

Has Toyota lost it way?

They all demonstrate amazing control but that first vid makes me think the bike is part of his body......
I use to roller skate ...yes I said roller skate......on the streets of Toronto and do crazy things. We pushed pretty hard and Im surprised I never broke my neck. But the stuff people do these days is a lot more difficult ... and creative.
I don't know if this has been posted before but it wouldn't hurt to watch again, its amazing. -
Thats exactly how this was resolved!

Hope to have the a prototype tomorrow.
Thanx!!
Jerry,Let me know if these help,
Thanks in advance,
John

hahaha...I felt that way when I knocked over my CBT360 and it fell on the front bumper of my 350 roadster. Totaly had a spasm....threw things all over the garage....Im surprised I didnt wreck anything.
The funny part was I was moving stuff around so that very thing wouldnt happen! I tripped over and extension cord and set the dominos into action. LOL.
I gave the project CBT away shortly afterwards.........................

Really...what school did you go to?
... Including donating their penile skin as seat coverings!? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! In all my reading of nature books in and out of school, I never saw anything about whales giving up the skin from their weiner to be used as leather. -
Im not too keen on this idea...what if something goes wrong...WHAMO...a hundred million tons slammes into earth and we go the way of the dinosaur.
And what if all goes well with the landing but a chunck of iron the size of spain throws the magnetic poles into skelter causing immediate climate or tidal changes......killing most of us.
I am intrigued by the idea of building habitable asteroids...they could be like resorts or even retirement communities......our seniors could travel the galaxy. How about prisontroids....the inmates could mine the minerals for us! After all why use expensive robots when we can use bad ass criminals for free. They can farm their own food for survival.
How about this one: you send a robot to the asteroid belt (between Mars and Jupiter), find a small asteroid (a hundred million tons or so, made of nickel and iron, good stuff and nearly pure) and attach a solar sail. If you have ground lasers per the system mentioned above, all the better, but you don't have to have them. You give it a gentle push in such a way as to slow it down a bit. Its' orbit having been modified, it starts to fall to the inner system. As it gets close to Earth, you send another robot, this time carrying thrusters of some kind so as to fine-tune its' trajectory. You aim it at Antarctica, boom, great light show and you've got a hundred million tons of really valuable, almost pure ore sitting on the ice at the cost of a couple of robots. You think space exploration can't pay for itself? -
Im considering picking up a set of Eagle rods. They appear to be commonly used, I cant find any serious issues regarding quality on the web (one comment about poor rod bolts?) and the price is damn good!
What do you think about Eagle? They are for a 300hp turbo track application.

Ya I know......but do it up front and you wont have to do it again. Trust me..been there, done it!.......again.
Hi, I got those I know but I also will need to cut around the middle section so it will fit around the hub. I just wanna make it a little easier this time. -
Just cut out a section of the brackets and you wont need to remove the axles......BUT...why not remove them and change the bearings while your at it.
Upgrading my 240z rear brakes soon so Im looking for those rear brakets where I dont need to remove the axle please let me know. -
Six_shooter's car is plenty fast. And there is a lot more to have. Go with what you have it will be fine. Just dont expect too much too soon...work up to your goals.
I did the same with a 100% stock KA24e and it amazing what will work before a melt down.

A hydraulic line lock will never work very well. Make sure you always have a brick behind your rear wheels because the pressure will drop sooner than later. At which point you will be chasing your car...if it hasnt already stopped in some ones living room.
I picked up a great deal for upgrading the brakes on my 1971 240Z. 1989 Toyota 4 Runner calipers on 300Z finned rotors front and back. Of course the rear calipers do not support the existing e-brake. I have heard mention of a hydraulic line lock that works very well. Can anyone tell me how I would add that feature? Thanks, Kevin
RB20 Oil Squirter removal....?
in Nissan RB Forum
Posted
Im considering retrofitting the RB20 piston squirters into a KA24e(t) block. It appears that NISSAN considered fitting them into the KAe block as standoffs are cast onto the main oil gallery...just never used.
At first it looked like a simple case of removing the squirter assembly with a 10mm socket...but I quickly realized they were not held in with bolts.
Does anyone have experience with squirter removal? Hints are appreciated.....
