  1. Any way to keep the EGR and run MSnS? If not, do I just disconnect it? Or do I have to make a block off plate? If I have to make a block off plate, what do I do to the tube the connects it to the down pipe? Thanks Mario
  2. get a proxy service, then it will be unrestricted (secure is best, but there aren't many good free secure proxies) thats what I do at school to get to ebay Mario
  3. Two recommendations (from one web designer to another): Fix your banner (Its not showing up) PLEASE don't just resize pictures as your thumbnails. Go into whatever image handling program you have and resize them there and save them SMALL. It almost crashed my computer at school because each thumbnail is over 100kb. They should be AT MOST 30 kb. Don't take this offensively, Mario
  4. Going cheap?? Just use the stock ZX senors! I think one of moby's stickys has them all set up. Tony D also recommended you just get another coolant temp sensor (~$8 at carquest/autozone/etc) and reprogram it. Intructions are on the MS site. Mario PS they recommend your car runs right before the swap, you might be opening a pandora's box
  5. Just got back from Phoenix where I hooked it up on 1 Fast Z's stim. It worked! Then we hooked it up to his car and it started right up. I also picked up a resistor pack and the 240sx tb an tps. Mario
  6. B size paper is also used for photos and plotters and stuff like that. Pretty sure it is 11 wide, 17 in length. Pretty sure Mario
  7. Got my MS yesterday, assemble it today (took a little more then 5hrs). Anyways, what do I do about diode d8 (right now its soldered on but jumpered as per the manual). Also, what about jumping XG1 and XG2 (currently jumped). I didn't get the MegaStim (kinda regret it now), is there another way to test it before putting it in the car? Thanks Mario
  8. I doubt recharge times will improve enough to make this a viable alternative. These are military grade deap cycle batteries. They have the ability to drain completely and still be recharged, but it takes a while. Mario
  9. get AVG Antivirus. Small FREE and frequently updated. Mario
  10. Right click, hit properties. Copy and paste URL. Mario
  11. My Z was my first car too (16 yrs old). Kinda dove in head first... 1 Year later I bought another (my ZXT). I've had the ZXT for a year and a half now. Bought it for $500 non-running. It has now gone to Mexico (over 1k miles) and it is my daily driver. Both are ZXs, I would of much rather have gotten a Z, but they are harder to come by in Northern AZ. Anyways I like it, especially since parts are relatively common and it is rather interesting and easy to work on. The hardest part so far has been electrical. But its not too bad if you stick with the forums and buy an FSM (Its a must I think). I say go for it, but be warned: they are fast and fun to drive, but they aren't indestructable. I've had a blowout at 75mph and a stuck throttle while testing my boost controller. It would've gone airborne if I didn't act fast. Be ready for some headaches if you aren't mechanically inclined; they are old cars, but the learning curve isn't too high. Anyways, good luck and I hope you find what your looking for Mario (I lurked around the forums before I decided to buy my Z too )
  12. The tires must be expensive! What size are those? 24's? Mario
  13. I'm thinking of just modifying mine: 1. New handle (custom made shifter like on my friends mercedes, button on the top) 2. New gear indicator (will light up the gear selected, instead of just back lighting) 3. Paint and anything else I come up with Mario
  14. They should put nos on that! Like the guy who had nos on a little motorized scooter Its an Xvid codec (DivX might work) Mario
  15. They look great! I heard of people doing this a while back, but they had a problem with the paper fading or turning yellow. I think they'll work fine If you used good photo paper. Another suggestion is the sign shop, but have them print it out on UV and shrink resistent vinyl. Mario
  16. Kinda in the same boat here... But no, there aren't any feasible emulators yet. Check out the progress of them here I think I will buy a PS2 for this... Mario
  17. Yes, a G-nose for the ZX! (borrowed these from frank280zx's site) I had seen them before on s130.net, but I can't find them any more Mario
  18. Someone named Tony D either here or on zcar.com He a copy of the JDM yellow book(?) that shows where to place them properly. Mario
  19. That is still way too low. Is the computer very sluggish? You might have a lot of things running in the background. If your task bar is very long, that may be it. Try running some computer testing software, something that will test the memory. But if the computer is running OK (or faster then before you added the ram) I think it is probably just a glitch. An odd one at that. Mario
  20. Total Physical Memory 384.00 MB Available Physical Memory 4.03 MB Hmm... Troubling sign. You either have a virus, spyware, or a resource hog because something has eaten up all the available physical mem. Try booting in safe mode and rechecking the stats, see if it is higher. If it is a lot higher, it is probably spyware. Run Spybot Search and Destroy, Lavasoft Ad-Aware, and a anti virus (update all of them first). If you need a free anti virus, there is one by AVG Also, try rebooting the comp to see if it frees up some more mem. Mario
  21. Again, like stated above, check to see if your motherboard has a slot for two kinds of ram. I have a K7S5A and it only runs with one type of ram. You have to choose which, and DDR is better. Check here for what windows detects: (my laptop, this is the main page in system info) I will also state that XP doesn't suck as bad as some of you claim. A computer is only as smart as the one using it. If yours sucks... well thats saying something . Mine rarely BSODs, but that might have something to do with what I do Also, 256mb is enough for most people. I have 512mb on my main comp and it is more then enough for my games, photoshop, web dev, and whatever else I decide to do. Again, a Duron is slow, and most motherboards that support durons support athlon xp's (yours is kinda slow, so it might need an Athlon instead on an Athlon XP, sorry I'm not sure) Anyways good luck Mario
  22. Go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Information. Check to see how much RAM it says it has. Like stated by yourself, XP will not run with 64 mb of ram. You would get an error message if that is what the system thought it had. Mario
