Hey all, I am looking for the following that will fit a 1978 280z: - Exterior Door Handle - Rear hatch locking mechanism - Rear hatch latch (that bolts into the hatch) I would be interested in buying all three exterior locks if it comes with a key. These are all small, but important parts. Any help would be great!

I purchased the piece I need. I need just the lower (horizontal) stainless steel trim piece which surrounds the hatch window on a 79 280 ZX (coupe). I was told by a Nissan dealer that the part number for the entire trim set is 90350-P7100. Let me know if you have the piece I need or the entire set. Must be in excellent condition. Thanks. Can somebody do me a favor and measure the angle of the flanges that screw to the hatch hinges? Either inside angle, or outside angle. I am installing a fiberglass hatch and making the flanges myself. I just need that angle I have attached the dimensions that I measured in case somebody else needs them thanks! datsun hatch flange layout.pdf datsun hatch flange dimensions.pdf

It all began with a cleaning... then as I started to grind away the small rust spot on the tailgate, the hole kept getting bigger. the plastic cover was hiding a huge hole. Here is how I fixed the rust holes, and rear hatch: I cut out the areas that had rust with an angle grinder I cut out matching pieces of 16 GA steel and bend to match existing I painted all the parts and all around the hatch with POR-15, doing the whole cleaning and etching process and installed NOS inner weatherstripping and the top portion of outer weatherstripping Re-installed rear tail pieces, and lights Then I turned my attention to the hatch hinges, which were ripping off at the seams. I welded them on the top And underneath And that was about a weekend of work, for an amateur.

FYI - Just spoke to Tabco to order a rocker panel and was told that the horizontal panel that is just above the tail lights is now available. Not sure what you call it. It is not on the website. The website has not been updated in a long time. I don't think it's available anywhere else. -Tim

Does anyone know the difference between Back Hatch Seal and Deck Lid Seal? They look the same to me, but one is $6 per foot, and the other is $12 per foot. http://www.metrommp.com/ > Online Catalogue > 1971 > Nissan > 240z (I cannot copy the address) Thanks.

Can someone post a pic or describe to me the placement of the seal with regard to the hatch lip? I found a pic online so I can figure how to install the side pieces, but the top is a little confusing. I know which side of the seal is the top, but it looks like it just wants to sit inside of the hatch lip, rather than ON it like the side strips. My car didn't have these pieces when I bought it. Although to be honest it's possible I would've pulled it off without taking pictures before starting my resto.
