cuzak901
I just replaced the brake booster on my 240z and now I have like zero pedal feedback. There is very little resistance at the pedal. The car stops, but I don't actually feel the car slowing until I have almost pushed the pedal all the way down. Then it starts slowing fast, but still no pedal feedback. I can't do a gradual Slow anymore. I was driving the car for a two weeks with the broken booster and it was hard to stop but I could feel the force of the pedal pushing back as I was slowing down. Also if i push the pedal all the way, I can't engage the brakes to there max. Like I can't lock the wheels if I wanted. Only change was the brake booster. jhm
Something's clearly not working right.... Silly question....are you sure the brakes are fully bled? With good new clean brake fluid? Also, is the clevis pin connection between your booster and brake pedal correctly adjusted? If not, that may be partially contributing to your problems. Finally, no vacuum leaks between your intake and booster? A leak would cause high or erratic idle, and if bad enough, you can actually hear the hissing sound when the engine's running (or right after you shut it down). Good luck and happy motoring. r/John
NewZed
I haven't had the problem but your description sounds like a misplaced reaction disc. Search the words reaction, disc and/or disk and you'll find lots to read.
neotech84
+1 on the Reaction disk. Will fix your problem.
