NewZed
Howdy. The crank bolt is 27 mm. I just went out and stuck a socket on the bolt to be sure.
SleeperZ
Yes, crank bolt is 27mm. I used the O'Reilly harmonic balancer puller for V8s, with some timing cover bolts to thread into the hub center, and a large washer for the main screw to set in to keep the center threads from getting damaged. Works perfectly and no chance to hurt the damper or crank. Here's a picture of what I used, but it's not the exact part... R0N
Thanks guy's That helped. I also rented the harmonic balancer puller. It's amazing they let you rent it for free. Btw I had a hard time moving the bolt. It was in gear and the break was on but the crank kept on spinning but so was the rear wheel. Here's how I eventually got it out without using an impact gun. http://youtu.be/O_6SFBg7_dg Edited February 4, 2012 by R0N
Gollum
Yea, I had to chock the wheels good and use a 4ft breaker bar + a 3 foot bar... No fun. The entire car was lurching up on the chocks pretty good and when the bolt let go I had to catch the car a bit to keep it from rolling more than the foot it did... Yay. Glad you got it taken care of.
