johnc Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 Ar .32 seconds you can see the fire bottle fly into the passenger footwell. Very poor mounting. Remember, a 20lb. fire bottle will weigh 200+ lbs in a 10G hit. That driver knew what he was doing when it came to post accident procedures. You should practice bailing out of both sides of your race car a few times per year. Most suits give you 15 seconds in direct flame before you're burned pretty bad. Someone recently suggested putting masking tape over your visor and holding your breath for each practice session in case the interior of the car is filled with smoke.
