Dan Juday
I saw one of the "new" new Beetles today on the road. You know, the ones that are supposed to look more "manly"? Ya, a chick was driving it.
clutchdust
Amazingly, they managed to make a car I already didn't like even uglier.
SleeperZ
Yes, I drive a New Beetle, and I think the new New Beetle is ugly.
TheLunarEffect
I rather like the update, personally. Not that I'll ever think about buying one, but it's good eye candy for now. At least until I see one on every street corner...
psdenno
I tend to like the NEW New Beetle - especially the turbo model. Nice improvement over the previous model. And, yes. even though chicks may be seen driving them, it's a more masculine looking car. No more flower vase on the NEW New one. Gollum
I still contend that the new beetle is a waste of steel, and thus a waste of resources. Doesn't that make it not-so-green? Such a waste of pollution...

Trevor
All I want to know is - when are they going to make the new Karmann Ghia? Edited March 27, 2012 by Trevor

Dennis Actually, I liked the idea of the flower vase on a Turbo New Beetle with 6 speed. Shows a little sensitivity, perhaps a little Green, as one slams through all 6 gears on the way to something a bit over 135 mph. Other than the fact that every plastic piece, particularly the review mirror remote, would break, deform, or fall off the car, I really enjoyed the 85000 I put on a New Beetle...... actually used that vase to hold a rose every other day or so. Better smell than that "new car" smell most car washes give you. G Edited March 28, 2012 by zgeezer
emeraldlion
I like what they did with the re-iteration. I think it looks MUCH more like the original beetle especially with the polished hubcaps. Do I own one? No. Will I buy one? No. I do think it is a much better tribute though. I have owned a Karmann ghia and I do not think I would buy ANY rebadged version, the original was just too great.
