rjracin240
It will fit without flares though you will have to apply some negative camber. There are a few people that have fit 15x10 with some stretch and serious negative camber. 225 wide tires should be fine, though im not speaking from experience. Check the Rota Shokatan threads, a lot of people are running 15x9 with either -, 0, or + offset. I have a set of Rota's 15x9 with a -15offset, though i dont have them mounted nor will i have them mounted in the near future. Yuo can also use this, http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp Its a wheel fitment calculator. I have a idea that my wheels will fit with out flares, in theory, and the calculator does not account for stretching of the tires just reduces the wheel size. I also use the Rota RBR's as kind of a reference, cause they are 9.5, again you have to see what offset they are running. Or do a little bit of a search Took me a couple mins and i found 15x9 0 offset running 195/50 but you can easily fit a 205/50... http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/101433-rota-shakotans-anyone-running-them/ Not sure what I am missing here, I have 15X7 with zerro offset with 225/50-15 Too R-1 tires, when on the track I experience tire rub of the outside edge of the tires when loading the back cornes in a turn. Loading the suspension would be just like adding negative camber (Static), knocked the dog snot out of the lip curling it up flat in area of rub. An suggestions would be appreciated, I must be missing something obvious if others are having success with 15X8/9's

emeraldlion
I would have to guess the difference is between 240 suspension and 280 suspension. I seem to see more people able to fit 8 inch wheels on the 280.

logr
I run 245/40/17's A6's on 9's all the way around so it is possible with the right offset and some camber. My set up is not stock so you would have to find the right offset for your set up. -3 camber front, -2 rear The rear is harder than the front. Well I have changed my mind on the Starion wheels and Z32 brakes for now (because I would have to flare the fenders and more) So I went back to the big 14" Brembo brakes and the Mercedes Benz 18"X8.5" rims with small 225's on them now. I have coilovers and camber plates also put a half inch spacer on all 4's and went long ARP studs and had everything redrilled for the 112mm X 5 lug pattern. I checked the ground clearance which for now will be 5.5" (stock is 6.3") and when I need tires I will be putting 255/40R18's on them. The machine shop has been pushing the work for the last 3 weeks but claims that everything will be done next week...YEAH Also I am either going to polish these or powder coat...Have'nt decided yet. Below are pictures of both Starion setup and the Mercedes setup.

Put my 15X81/4" XXR's on with the 225/50-15's on them and had no tire clearance issue's at all. Hope this helps someone make a choice on rim size. Ham8urger
I know this is an old thread but I can't find an answer on other ones... From what I've gathered, you can run 15x9 0 offset front and rear on 205/50/15's without rubbing. Now, the question I have is, can I do the same on stock camber? I'm thinking about getting coils that don't have camber plates... Will I be ok if I roll the fenders?
m1ghtymaxXx
15x9, 0 offset, 225/50R14, stock diameter springs. 3/8" spacer required for the front to clear the spring, rear has about 1/2" clearance to the spring. I rolled the front fenders before the wheels arrived, though it wasn't necessary. It hasn't ever rubbed with this setup/ride height. The wheels poke about 15-20mm from the fenders, therefore I wouldn't recommend getting negative offsets for any reason other than to clear the front spring. I wouldn't recommend 205 width tires either, 225 is plenty stretched as you can see. I have 220/45 Rivals arriving this week to replace the 225/50 Falkens in the picture.
