Anyhow, I'm looking for the Gland Nuts with 280z thread pitch that hold the shocks within the strut tube. Looking for 2 or more. Shoot me a PM. Thanks! Akira Posted September 5, 2013 Author Share Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) Can you just use factory default grand nuts? KYB and Tokico size is same. Factory gland nuts are slightly different. There is a metal ring covered in rubber that seems to be pressed in. It's possible that if you remove the metal insert and do some machining at the bottom to shorten the height, it may work, but I do not want to go that route. As for KYB being the same size as the Tokico, are you positive about the inside diameter being the same? The gland nut locates and clamps the outer shock tube in to the strut tube. Measure at the top, the part that fits inside the gland nut.
