itrjon
So I have a 1971 240z. I recently installed the following: 1977 L28 engine Old fly wheel from my L24 New Clutch/disc/throw out bearing 1981 5sp transmission r200 rear diff New fluids. I am hesitant to start the lady up bc when I push the car back into the garage, it feels extremely heavy. Although I have not installed the clutch slave, the car seems like there is a lot of rolling resistance. Does anyone have an idea of what I may be doing wrong before I try to start the car? BluDestiny
Sounds like another throwout bearing collar problem. You're not getting enough distance and the clutch is contacting the flywheel. What collar are you using? 240z?

The part about the clutch slave shows that you have very little idea of what might cause "rolling resistance". Be careful with any advice you choose to follow. You're set to waste a lot of time. HowlerMonkey
He's pushing the car into the garage. I seriously doubt the clutch is even part of the equation since you normally push a car in neutral. I would ask him if he turned the driveshaft by hand after sliding it into the transmission but before bolting it to the diff.
