dpuma8
I am converting everything over to the coilovers but I can't figure out how to get the nut off in the back of the drum because it turns. What is the best way to get this off and then tightened when it goes on the coilovers?
socorob
Is it the drum you can't get off? They tend to fuse to the hub since its dissimilar metal. Soak it in penetrating oil a lot. You may have to apply some heat too. I was able to coax it all apart with a BFH and a big punch after a lot of soaking.
RebekahsZ
Can you shoot a cell phone pic of the nut to me? Like socorob, I don't know what nut you are describing. If you don't know how to post a photo to the site, you can message me the photo to 256-366-4685. dpuma8
Got one of them out. I figured that the drum would come out but it is still stuck. Any idea to get the drum off the old and onto the new?

seattlejester
Picture would be nice. Or more precise terminology will help quite a bit. If you are indeed talking about the hub, you would have to use a slide hammer once you released the staked axle nut. They rent them at your local auto parts store. Just make sure you do early in the day. If your hub is stuck, it will make quite the racket.
