repenttokyo
I just put a set of Rota Grid wheels on my 78 280Z, and they aren't snug on the hub. They fit fine - 4 x 114.3 15 inch wheels. Does it matter? Do I need some kind of hubcentric spacer to make them snug? Car will see regular track time.
EF Ian
I had to get my Rotas chamfered to make them fit properly, they were just ever so fractionally touching the hub.
NewZed
they aren't snug on the hub. They fit fine So which is it? And what do you mean by "snug"?
jacky4566
Fairly certain the wheels on the S30 are Lug-centric not Hub Centric. So it doesn't matter they are not snug on the hub. Torque nuts to spec and call it a day.

NewZed
Use the correct nuts. Lots of ways to feel right but be wrong.
Chris Duncan
Yeah, S30 is lug-centric, you can try to keep it straight by torqueing an unloaded wheel in multiple stages and turning the wheel 180 deg before final torque. The 280Z Chumpcar sometimes vibrates and you have to bring it in and re-torque. Hub centric is superior but the stock back hub doesn't stick out enough to make it work. tyranie909
I am about to purchase 16x8 rota grid v as well. I have seen a few threads saying you have to remove material from either wheel or hub to make them fit snug. Is this really the case, or do I just torque them down as stated above? NewZed
The same question was asked and answered in the first two posts, with details following. Take a measurement and see if the hub will fit in the hole.
