Tony D
Whittle Rings are stainless. I don't know of any block sealing head gasket that uses anything but stainless steel or monel/inconel fire ring,

grannyknot
Okay, I'm going to ask the dumb question, how are these better than average HG's? Higher compression?
TimZ
Tim if you please post part numbers. Gasket 11044-E4621 Rings 11045-N3120 To answer your other question, they have pros and cons Pro: they are MUCH harder to "blow out", so they are more tolerant to high cylinder pressures and detonation Con: they are MUCH harder to "blow out", so they allow you to run with more detonation. On a poorly tuned engine this can mean breaking ring lands on expensive pistons instead of just having to replace a $40 head gasket.
