Synlubes
Anyone have any info on these ? Ever seen them in person ? Know anyone using them ? http://www.k-mac.com.au/makes/nissan.htm I found them thru a post at classiczcars.com
260DET
I have seen them fitted to production based cars used for racing, they look a nice piece of work But I have never seen them on a Z for some reason, most Z's here in Oz use eccentric camber adjusters to replace the lower inner suspension pivot, possibly because they are cheaper and you can, I think, set them up to give you more negative camber than is possible with the K-mac kit. zed660
The owner of KMac spoke at our last Sydney Z club meeting. The top of strut camber/castor kits are only for later model Z's. The only kits they have for the early 240/260's is one that mounts through the lower control arm pivot like the eccentric camber adjusters. These kits however require you to weld a slotted washer to the cross member and then slot the cross member hole so that when the eccentric snail is turned the arm moves along the slot to adjust the camber. They say it gives up to 2 degrees. I haven't spoken to anyone who has used the kit and don't know how good the system works, ie whether the bolts tighten enough to stop the adjustment from slipping under load. cheers, Geoff

260DET
The K-mac eccentric adjusters sound much like the Fortuna ones a lot of us use here in Q. Around A$90 a pair. The pin itself is straight, two outer plates are eccentric so the Xmember has to be slotted. The trick is to locate the slots in a position that will give you the adjustment range you want. I have never heard of any slipping. Just adjust by turning the pin head then lock by tightening the nut on the other end. Simple, once they are installed. Owen
Anyone know anything about the ones sold in the MSA catalog? $100/pair, 1.5 deg camber change, no drilling? Pg 63 of the 2003 catalog. Owen
zed660
260DET Richard, where do the Fortuna kits come from? Are they sold by Allan Steen in Brisbane? Geoff
NZeder
Bring this one back from the dead, K-Mac now have a bolt in camber/caster plate for the S30 chassis ie 240z/260z/280z. see http://www.k-mac.com.au/pages/newprods/datsun/datsun.htm The pic on their site shows a pre production unit with out the caster adjustment. I have just received my set and I am waiting for K-Mac to confirm if I can post pics given the design is patented. As my car is still a body shell I can't comment on how well the work on the road but I can say they are very well made and do work with both stock setup and coilover (I have test fitted this to both). With coil overs you get more adjustment in camber. Cheers Mike
260DET
Problem with the S30 is that the small diameter strut tops limit adjustment considerably. Still, if the inner LCA pivot is moved (up and) out then the strut top adjuster could be used to fine tune the setting I suppose.

I have/am going to coilover setup and the setup I purchase came with weld in camber plates but the local engineer was not happy with them getting welded on the top of the struts and wanted us to tig weld these on from the underside - at this point I thought this is too hard so went and got these from K-MAC so they will bolt in and the strut tops are not modified in anyway = Engineer happy = me happy my car can get back on the road again some day soon. These will help also with the finer adjustments in both camber and caster as my LCA are not on car adjustable (these were on the car when I took it off the road almost 10 years ago to fix some rust under the battery box, that was fixed in a 1 week but having family as your panel beater = right price but you do wait, a long wait at that too)
