zguy95135
i bought a 1981 280ZX that was running a few months before (or so the owner says). I am trying to get it to run but it just turns over, i checked the for spark and there is and there is also fuel coming from the pump. Could the turbo be stuck or could it be something else? Len
check if your getting enough powerful spark. (remove sparkplug , ground sparkplug see what you got). Alot of times your coil etc. are not producing enough spark(white not yellow) to ignite.
fl327
i believe if cranking voltage is less than 9v, the ecu wont fire the car up.
marcus70ZT
i agree with checking the starting voltage. i had a problem with that on getting my turbo swap to start up initially. also, if it has been at least a few months since the car has run, the injectors could have siezed up. i have neverhad one i couldn't eventually get unstuck by applying a full 12 volts positive and negative to opposite terminals, though. email me if this is the problem and you need more details. Lockjaw
You need to be very careful applying voltage to an injector, to long and you will be buying new ones. All you need to do is touch it to see if you hear a click, don't hold 12 volts on it.
