crankcase ventilation...need help

Ok, almost got the car up and running again... need some final pointers...

1. There is pipe coming out of the crankcase that goes into the PCV valve before entering the intake.... which is two completely different sizes at each end....(pipe and pcv valve) what have you guys done instead of the factory pipe?

2. The vacuum hose between the valve cover and the thottle body..... Since I have the 240sx TB on there now and no place for that vacuum line to go.... do I put a filter on the valve cover or block it off??... should it even be vented to the outside air?...in its stock form, I noticed an rpm drop when you took the oil cap off....

If you vent the valve cover, you should vent the crankcase too. If the PCV valve is installed, you'd have to block that as well. Otherwise, yo can leave it all connected, and install an oil trap, and maintain the PCV system. That will keep oil odors and mist down under the hood.

Ok, I want to keep the pcv system...

What about the two different sized ends?...any ideas?

And if I keep the pcv sys... I am assuming I should block off the vent for the valve cover...right?? since I have no termination point for it anymore...

The factory pcv hose was actually larger diameter on the crankcase end. If all of your pcv stuff is in the stock location, just call courtesy Nissan and get a pcv hose.

Sorry - what was your setup again? My advice will differ on what to do with the valve cover, depending on what you've got.
