Guest ON3GO
well im having Alex (Zcarsmakemyheadhurt) build me my motor.. i wanted to do it but i have no time to, and i trust alex with his building skills. i was wondering if you had any ideas for some stuff i should get. im trying to keep it somewhat at a low price but that prob wnt happen. well its a L28ET. Microtech EMS is his choice and at $1350 its abit pricey, but ill go with his word. T04E stage 3 turbo, 63/60 trim. ported head. ARP studs. we havent talked about the intake manifold yet so im not sure. also i have my Blitz SBC i-D boost controller and Powermeter i-D controller, Turbo XS RFL bov, full 3in exhaust. any ideas i should mention to Alex like parts and etc????? i have my n/a 280ZX 2seater tranny too. im still looking for a aluminum radiator for this L28 motor, and nice electric fan(s). and piping too. im also waiting for Brad D on word for his downpipe. thanks guys.. mike
fl327
I would make Alex a deal to drop the driveline in and make it run. After a careful break in period at LOW LOW boost, I would have him tune it on a dyno, you said you wanted 350rwhp, make him tune for that hp level safely if possible. I would also make him build you a downpipe, shouldnt be too hard for him, he makes turbos too. Now get back under there and get the suspension done Basically, put him to work, thats what he does and Im sure he will hook it up proper. Aluminum radiator would be nice too, im gonna use a KOYO radiator from a Silvia on mine, little fab work but its nothing really, just using pipes for hoses- the z hoses are close to the same diameter and in the same general place. They go for 450.00, but not for me thats right yup
Cody 82 ZXT
Whats he going to do for the pistons and stuff? Sounds like you already got a good combo cooking up. You might hit James up for one of his awesome intake manifolds. Also makes sure to have the exhaust manifold ported out or use a header if money is not a concern. BRAD D
Here is one, but it will be a lot of $$$ for not that big of a HP gain. I bet it is around 1000$ http://zdatsun.com/turbo_header.html
Cody 82 ZXT
A ported stock manifold will get you well into the 400 HP range.

SleeperZ
ON3GO, most of the questions you are asking have been discussed extensively. Have you searched for stuff on radiators? I bet there are several very good posts, perhaps in the Chevy forum, dealing with radiators.
