JMortensen
Too late for that! Kitchak probably wishes he had that matress there at Sears Point a year or two ago when he DID flip it. Into a wall on the roof as I recall... Where has all the road racing gone? All I can find is NASCAR on Speed these days Jon
Tim240z
Where has all the road racing gone? All I can find is NASCAR on Speed these days Jon It's a bloody conspiracy I say!! I would love watching British Touring car racing, or German Touring cars, or Aussy Touring car racing back in the home Country!! Now that's racing!!! Opels, Audis and Volvos going at it door to door...and also the truck racing...now that is a trip!! Big 'ol tractor trailer horses going full tilt...wayyy cool!! If I want to take a nap on a Sunday afternoon, I just put on the NASCAR race, I'm out in a matter of minutes!! Rant over... Tim
Guest MistressMotorsports
The matress thing was a joke going around between a bunch of Speed(vision) World Challenge guys in 2000. There was a lot of "spirited" discussion about spoiler heights being changed on 911s, other things as well, so the guys just started making fun of themselves. If you go to the World Challenge forums on the SCCA Pro site, you can search the archives from 2000 for more of these creative spoilers and splitters. I ran in that race back in 2000 when Peter K flipped the Porsche. Apparently, he was following a Mustang into the carousel. The story in the paddock after the race was that the Mustang mysteriously had no brake lights, and Peter was going to outbrake the Mustang over the hill, figuring that a 911 should be able to outbrake a Mustang. Well, he went in too deep and the rest was shown to the world on TV. I was about 10 cars behind and saw lots of styrofoam fly, but no Peter. He was on the other side of the barrier. Fortunately, he was ok, but that was the end of what would have been a damn competitive season for him. DISCLAIMER: The above accident description was from other entrants in the race who claimed Peter gave them that story. If it was some other set of circumstances, then I'm sorry for the rumors. I can, however, vouch for the fact that more than one of the Mustangs in the race had their brake lights off. Mike

I don't get to follow much of the "world" other than what I'm directly in lately.
spotfitz
After seeing some of the lastest pics of weird products being used for wings I knew it had to be. I keep seeing images of the ironing board on the trunk of some car. That was priceless.
