BRAD D
http://www.revetec.com 10-50% more efficient then an equivalent piston Engine???
JMortensen
Kinda like Desmotronic pistons in a weird way. Too bad they use a standard cylinder head. You would think that with a Desmotronic head or rotary valves you could get some serious rpms going. Jon
EvilRufusKay
The supercharged one sounds better. The non-supercharged one sounds eh.....not so good. I guess I am used to my V8 though. They don't post any data to back up the claims they make. Unless I missed it. I would like to see one in person. Cool idea if it works out though. David K
The beginning of that intro reminded me of a Sinéad O'Connor song! Sweet engine.
Guest Nic-Rebel450CA
who knows it my be the next wankel engine except that it wasnt invented by Wankel I was looking at the little animated figure on the homepage in the top right corner, both of those lobes appear to be identical, yet one is rotating opposite the other. If both lobes are identical (which I imagine that they would have to be to rotate in the same area) and able to rotate either direction, then both of them could rotate in their reverse directions as well. Hmmm, doesnt sound very good to me. I would think it would be just a little too easy for a mis-fire to reverse the direction of rotation Edit: Actually, now that I look at it, I suppose that is the purpose of the lobes being set to rotate opposite directions and being geared for the same forward movement. If there were to be a condition that would try to force the lobes to rotate the wrong way then it would just stress the internal gears rather than switch rotational direction. Guest BigWhyteDude
i know that he didn't disign this one but i ment that as in the non-conventional engine concept kind of way
Phantom
That engine design has been araoung close to 10 years now. I wonder why it hasn't gotten off the ground?
Moridin
You guys should check out http://www.sixstroke.com for a different design if you haven't already.
