David K
I searched the internet for 20 minutes, and i couldnt find one peice of helpful info. How does CA work when it comes to smog exempt vehicles? Is it 25 years and older cars? Will my 79 be smog exempt in 3 years? Or is there a set year, and it stays at that year no matter how much time goes by?

Tim240z
It's a 29 year rolling exemption from smog TESTING. So in 2002, 1973 and olser are exempt, in 2003, 1974 and older are exempt, in 2004 1975 and older.....so on and so on Tim
