Guest 250gto
I am anguishing over what color to paint my 250 GTO Replica. I am open to hear your suggestions. My possible colors are Red, Fly yellow, Silver, baby blue with a yellow stripe or black. I want to paint the car in one of the original GTO colors. They only made 39 of them and most of them were red. Everyone paints them red though. Red is great, but I want to do something different. Any input would be greatly appreiciated. pparaska
My vote is Silver. Nothing looks more purposeful to me. And you won't draw attention to the car from a distance like the Red and Fly Yellow will.
VRJoe
Silver seems to the next most popular color. Here's a link to lots of pictures (250GTOs by serial number ) http://www.barchetta.cc/english/All.Ferraris/summary/SN.250.GTO.62.htm The green with yellow nose is unique. I'm going with a light blue for my Velo Rossa. - Joe

VRJoe
The 250GTO is such a great looking car, you can never see too many - Joe

Guest freakypainter
how about the dark silver on the 550 Maranello that is in Bad Boys II, its called Gregorio Titanium. I've got the paint code at work if you want it, or any other paint code for that matter
Deep
Well' date=' I couldn't very well say dark blue . Here ya go: [img']http://www.barchetta.cc/Common/Images/SN/3769GT/Large/250.GTO.3769GT.011.jpg[/img] But this (black?) one looks menacing: I completely agree, but black over silver. Guest Drewz
Are you looking for a nice clean car or one that grabs some attention?? For a clean look I argee on the silver with Petey. For something a little showy but not common I would go Yellow. I am partial to the "anodized" red that is out now though....
Guest 240hybrid
Yeah, silver you can't go wrong with on a gto...I saw a original one and the car was quite spectacular. The silver caught your eye but was kind of classy and classic looking. Chase
Guest mikey_clark
I'm going through the same consideration. I think silver is the most classy looking of the colors. I think yellow gives the best hotrod type look. Black makes the beautiful curves of the car disappear so I know I won't do that. And of course red is what everyone sees. I think wheel choice also has something to do with it.
Guest Drewz
If you like black but want to be able to see some definition than whatr my bud did on his Vette was to get the clear tinted red and added a pearl.
Guest 250z
Silver does look great as does black or dark blue, but I prefer Red, If I was going to do a second GTO it would be dark blue.
Zerrari GTO
Silver!...maybe w/flat black or matte black trim and accents. It's just very sophisticated and down to business (if you know what I mean). Like Bond...James Bond.
Guest trickz
Silver Sucks!!!! every BMW,Porsche,RR, Bently,ECT. is casket silver/gray. My VR 250 GTO is retna burning RED (that 's what she wanted) I vote chicken s#*^! yellow 8) !!!!! the worst color I ever saw was on the cover of "The Pranceing Horse" It was BROWN !!!! sad, very, , , very sad. Zerrari GTO
Hmmm.....BMW, Porsche, RR, Bently. Don't you wonder why so many high-end European cars are silver and not red? Because they don't need a screaming red paint job to look good! If I saw a red Bently coming down the road I would take a closer look to see the pimp driving it. Mikelly
Well I'm a fan of the deep metalic Pewter that is on my corvette... Very sophisticated and great on vehicles with curves and drastic lines. But I'm biased! Mike 8)
BillZ260
Do the Vanilla Sky BLACK with the yellow ferrari sign behind the side windows. Black or a very dark blue. Too cool.
