Sparky
WTF?! I assume that because there is no incredibly shrill nerd screaming that the kids hand is still intact. if not...I would be interested in seeing the aftermath of such stupidity. over and out. Moridin
You have any more info on the story? I would assume that the kid was unhurt, but that was a hell of a blast. Maybe the force of his hand kept the side it was touching intact, while the side of the 2 liter bottle blew out (weak plastic).
akeizm
I would have to say, if the hand was still there (which i'm quite sure it would be). It would have broken bones.
Guest BigWhyteDude
wow, stupid high school kids, the force of the explosion seamed pritty stronge. I hope the kid learned a lesson from that. Andrew

280Zen
hehe, did something like that back in school, much more controled enviroment though. Now lets put some BB's in that bottle and maybe some metal shavings!

baddriver
This should be an after school special. I'm no genius, but even I knew what was going to happen when he shook that bottle up.
akeizm
he should have thrown it instead of shaking it lol
dot
Mixing alcohol and chlorine?! Chlorine bleach or sodium hyper chlorite…I handle that stuff in tankers. I wear an acid suit and full face guard just to unhook a 2†un-pressurized hose. My guess is They were too busy dealing with the chemicals in their eyes and were unable to take more video. PETEW
It looked like Chlorine powder, like shock for a pool. Any time you add a liquid to chlorine powder it has explosive results. It could have even been water and had the same result. You always add powder to a liquid not the other way around. Hell I learned that when I was their age, I guess they missed that class. DavyZ
. You always add powder to a liquid not the other way around. Exactly correct. That's one reason I always stayed with powdered explosives; the liquid ones are too dangerous IMO. I did have fun with iodine crystals and ammonia though... (don't let it dry or try it home kids...)
