john kosmatka
Check out this classic 900, made by the factory to be a real beast http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_0019/article.html and one of my favorite saabs, the 9000 aero, my father has one of these pretty quick car, but it has to much power for the front wheels to handle. http://www.kyankton.net/9000index.htm Just thought I'd share another of my interests John
z-REX
aeros are awesome cars! i have a 9000cse turbo, when they talk about "typical saab issues" mine has most of the usuals... runs hot, switches giving out, climate control gave up it's blower fan, something stupid's causing my snail not to boost ... all easily fixable if i could keep my wrenches off the 240, but... all in all, it's a great car, starts every time, comfortable as hell, quick when it's spooling, looks good, hauls stuff like a swedish moving van... it just sucks when you have to buy parts for it! Phantom
first Saab I ever saw was the 3 cylinder 2-cycle one made back in the late 50's. It was a hoot to listen to. rrrrrrrrr - ring ding ding ding - rrrrrrrrr- ring ding ding ding.
Tim240z
Have you seen the new SAAB 9-2, AKA SAABaru.......just a rebadged WRX essentially..
gramercyjam
Not those. how about a Sonnet?
Scottie-GNZ
I am not "in" to SAABs, but my daily driver is a 96 9000 turbo/5-spd and I love it (them). With the rear seats folded down it is cavernous. Car is reliable, economical and a relatively fun daily driver.
BillZ260
Check out this classic 900 That is BA! I had a buddy in HS that had an old 900 like that, cool but pricey to fix... Have you seen the new SAAB 9-2, AKA SAABaru Yeah, I'll take one
RPMS
I always liked the late 70's Saab 99. It was just so cute. Kinda looked like a cartoon car. I wonder if you could stuff a modern engine into one of 'em...
DavyZ
They are very nice cars, although they are pricey to fix. My family has owned SAABs in the past, but I went Volvo when I had the chance. Both from Sweden, both "quality" cars, both safe, but the Volvo was rear wheel drive Davy
labrat
I had an 89 Saab 900 for about a year. awesome car. nicest car i ever owned. heated seats and mirrors, radio controls on the wheel. I liked to freak my friends out by putting the key in the emergency brake and starting the car. couldn't get used to the whole backward engine thing. Front wheel drive with a motor tilted about 40 degrees with transaxle running under the motor. clutch was right behind radiator, alternator and a/c compressor (and serpentine belt) right up against the firewall. Kooky. Bill
