lol...

story goes im on my way from school today to my house when this Red Z32 n/a 300zx pulls up next to me.

he waved and gunned it.

i wasnt ready for it so i didnt really give chase but he didnt stay on it long either.

so i catch up and follow him to the highway, now on the on ramp he guns it and so do i behind him.. i had to let off 2 or 3 times so i wouldnt hit his bumper. i nail 3rd, pass him now, hit 4th and know he is way back there so i just pop it into 5th and start slowing down...

well i see him coming up on me fast so i "tried" to downshift into 3rd or so but when i tried to shift nothing happend... i was still in 5th..

so i look down and see my shifter danggling from the boot.. OH SHAT my bolt fell out and in stuck in gear and im like 10miles away from home.

plus on top of it all i had to take the biggest SHAT ever!

so i get off the highway and pull into this church.. mind you im still in 5th gear.

so now i played with it for a sec or two and got it out of gear but now i cant get it back in any gear.

so i start looking around the car for some bolts i can stick in there, or really anything so i can get this damn car in gear.

well i found something and it got home..

take a look for yourself!!

YUp, On the way back from JohnsonCity Tennessee. I had to use a NUMBER 2 Pencil. I had a slim/ minimal tool kit in the car, and the pencil eventually gave way, and Luckily I had a ZIP TIE as a back up... Got me home, but I wasn't setting the world on fire with my shifting...

Then there was the time two years ago when we were on vacation in the Wife's Mustang... Broke the KEY off in the ignition... 4:00 AM at a gas station... Fortunately I could actually stick the key in and it would touch slightly and allow the ignition to turn.

haha its prob a Mike thing then.

i just fixed my problem with a bolt i took out of my spare L28E motor, awsome track time it is!!

also i had that key problem too, but it was in my friends 88 civic.

key broke off in there and i was about a hour or so away from home.

all i had was his small tool kit, which included a small sodering gun :).

we sodered the broken key to the igniton and got it worken!

was awesome!

That exact same thing happened to me two years ago. Youre late bro :D .

I was rolling to a toll booth when all of the sudden I couldnt put the car into nuetral, I had to tear the boot off the shifter to see what happened, saw it, and saw the pin on the ground. At the toll booth, I was about to get my car towed until I saw the pin-I get out and reach under the car and grab the pin, slide it back in, pay the toll and drive home, with my hand holding the pin all the way home.

Never say Never.
