iflyfast1
Does anybody that's using John's mounts have the part numbers for the upper and lower radiator hoses? I'm going to use aftermarket gauges so I don't want to buy John's fluids kit. Thanks. Tom
LS1 Z
HEY TOM!! My hoses didn't come with part numbers on them. They are good quality, most likely Gates or Goodyear. Call John. As for the vital fluids kit. The rad hoses will work with, Four row datsun (heavy and expensive) with camaro fans or the JTR radiator and mounting brackets and a 3.8l 2 speed taurus fan.(what i have). I'm not sure about the Griffin rad and Taurus fan. I used the coolant adapter with the stock Datsun sending unit. The oil pressure adapter won't work if you are using the same headers as mine (Sanderson made by Boyd). The headers dump right where the sending unit would be. Options??? You will need to get an adapter to go in where the oem camaro sender is. It is a 16 m.m. X 1.5 thread pitch. P.M. MAS280 for the company that makes it or what I'm gonna do is get an oil drain plug the same size, drill a hole and tap it to the nissan sending unit. I hadto buy 90 degree bent heater hose to atatch to my core. Soo anyways Get the hose numbers, o.p.s. adapter (won't come with the gauge). I'm sure there is another spot for coolant except the big plug where John's goes JOEY P.S. I'll get a hold of you monday or tuesday at latest to check out car after work. And yes I'll get a hold of Mike also!
MikeJTR
You should be able to use Camaro LS1 radiator hoses that are shortened and spliced together. If you are using the JTR-Camaro style radiator, you will need a "Tee" to splice the vent tube into the upper radiator hose. LS1 Z is using a JTR radiator and upper radiator hose tee on his car. JTR has a variety of hose splicers and hose tees. While not shown on the website, JTR has 1-5/16" hose splicers and hose tees, which fit the LS1 hoses better than the 1-1/4" or 1-3/8" splicers and tees. iflyfast1
The oil pressure adapter won't work if you are using the same headers as mine (Sanderson made by Boyd). The headers dump right where the sending unit would be. Joey, Street and Performance makes an adapter to clear the headers that might work. http://www.hotrodlane.cc Mike, I purchased your JTR radiator a while back. It looks like it will work with the stock LS1 Camaro fans if I don't use the trans cooler outlets which I don't need. (I'm using a T56) Do you sell caps or plugs to cap these outlets off? P.S. I'll get a hold of you monday or tuesday at latest to check out car after work. And yes I'll get a hold of Mike also! Joey I'm looking forward to hear what that beast sounds like! Stock Car Mafia
I'm digging this post up from the grave, because I am trying to identify a upper and lower radiator hose that will work with: LS Series Gen 3/4 water pump Champion 3-row Radiator Does anyone have part numbers or store you can get hoses that are the correct length? The lower is proving to be quite difficult.
RebekahsZ
It may prove easier to put a different lower tube on the bottom radiator tank. Take a look at how that might change your options. You can buy radiator necks from Speedwaymotors.com that you can have tig welded on in place of the Champion tube which was made to mimic the radiator needed for a L6. Another thing that might be helpful is a straight water pump outlet. I think there are a couple places that make those now.
socorob
There's another thread on here with the part numbers. That's the exact setup I have and I got my part numbers from that thread.
socorob
22478 lower and 21588 upper are some gates numbers I found, but double check them.
Stock Car Mafia
Keith, I definitely liked the idea of what you did with your rad. I don't know if I could muster cutting up a good champion radiator for that. Right now I have the top hose figured out. I more than likely will take two hoses, cut them, and use a coupler to fit them to one. Socorob, I've looked for a while now and am stuggling to find the thread you are referring to. If you have a link that would be great, otherwise I will just keep searching.
auxilary
I purchased Gates 22625 and 22625 based on research here, but I don't yet have an oem style radiator to test them out with Edited December 30, 2015 by auxilary
