Hugh
Nice! You cut and bend and polish it all yourself?
Jason Jarvis
Not exactly my cup of tea, but VERY nice work !
Guest 305240
Nice molding job! What did you use to fill in those canyons where the bumper covered? How did you mold the headlight buckets to the fenders? Just wondering as I'm doing the same thing to mine. Kinda looks like my Jag grill. hanomon
Thanx-Drax 240z. I didn't realize how big that pict would be. I'll reduce the pixel setting on my camera. 305240, those big gaps have been covered over with a piece of skin from the donor-Zcar. If you look close in the lighted area, you'll see little spot-welds that will be filled and feathered in. The space behind them will be filled with body pannel adhesive. Thanks Jason, I also have a more conventional or familiar grill that is horizontal simi-gloss powder-coated. These two are straight bolt-ons. Hugh, those 1/4"gauge lines were a pain to polish. Three step rouge grey red then white. It's hard to tell from the pict but when the sunlight hits those bars, the reflection is almost blinding! Tim240z
Great stuff, Dave!! I see you finally got your wheels!!!! BTW...leave your camera settings alone, just open the picture in MS Paint and select image/'Stretch and Skew", then reduce by 50% I fixed your post..... hanomon
Thanks for the camera path Tim. Those wheels are not the ones from Budnik we've been waiting for. Those have come in and I'll be posting picts tonight after work. The ones in the grill-shot are 20" off the kid's SUV, (for mock-up) When I got those giant rubbers all tucked in there, I knew that our 18" would look great and they do.
