Guest iskone
I've got a few mystery cams they have the following marks 1. CR276M 2. 341R (is this one a stocker?) 3. Electromotive, X276b, L-4, 7151 (installed) 4. Electromotive, X278M, L-6, 7151 Shoot now that I think about it I could be mistaken on the Elec. cams. I forgot to bring the paper I wrote the info on to work, my PC at home is DEAD. I know the installed one is big but I would like to know the specs of all my cams. I tried to do a search but of course got nothing. Isk

Guest iskone
Damn I've got a .580/278 in my street car, hell yeah Suddenly my 11.5-1 CR on pump gas sounds more reasonable. I didn't see the L-6 tough. I'll take a close look at it. Isk
JMortensen
Just guessing on the L6, but it seems logical that there would have been a L1, L2, L3, etc...
Guest iskone
I thought the same thing but every where I've looked it goes L3, L4,L7, L9 no L6. I'll ask around some more. Isk
Tony D
L6 Camshaft Specs (#273) was a 0.630" Lift, 306 degree duration ground on a 102 degree lobe cnter. L4 Camshaft Specs (#196) was 0.530" Lift, 306 degree duration on 102 centers... There was an L9 also. Forget the specs... That's disgusting, huh? Bad me... Best I could come up with... On the link above it has 580/278 for the L-4. I wonder if I could run the L-6 on the street. Think that would be much? Isk
JMortensen
I got the same specs on the L4 out of How to Modify. IMO the L6 would be ridiculous on the street, plus you're going to have to change the springs pretty frequently with that much lift. Your L4 is already HUGE for the street. I'd just let it be if it were mine.
Guest iskone
L-6 Ridiculous on the street!? No way! It will be fine. I think it would be large but I don't have the best knowledge of what is too much for the street in a Z motor, I know SBC. The cam I got now is pretty big, I don't know if it's the carbs or the cam but it is a bitch to drive slow in first gear. Now that I think about it driving slow in first is not even doable for more than 2-3 secs. When I say slow I mean rolling around a parking lot. Guest iskone
I got the rest of the info on the cams: 276R has a DESTROYED lobe on the #1 intake, so that's done. 341R Is a racer Brown cam grind, .511/296 don't know the ICL but the LSA is 108 This cam is in my SPARE head Ok so I was just joking when I said 306 too much for the street (kind of) Now I'm thinking of using the .511/296 instead of the .580/278, I'm I a dumb a** or what!?
