v80z
Is it possible to swap the ring and or the ring and pinion from a 77/ 3.90 with a 81 280zxt 3.545? Both use 10mm bolt on the ring I think. Is it just a matter of replacing them?
RB26powered74zcar
I think you can if you keep them paired up as they came out, but why would you go thru that when you can just get the gear ratio R200 you need real easy? Just asking...
JMortensen
Much easier to swap the whole differential than to setup the 3.90 gears in the ZXT diff. Any good reason not to swap the whole enchilada? It will bolt right in.
v80z
I want the 3.545 ratio. Maybe they are easy to find locally. I thought that shipping a ring and pinion would be cheaper than the whole enchilada.
Clifton
If you swap the gears yopu will have to set them up again, pinion depth and backlash. This will add to the cost or time. I have a 3.54 with or with out the rear cover and stubs. Email me if you are interested. siragla@attglobal.net
