Lockjaw
I have an issue, and frankly it has bugged me for a while, and I have remained silent about it, mainly since it seems to have not affected me, until now. I think it is completely wrong to bless someone out publically on the board. Since I have been on the board, I have seen this happen 3 times, and I just don't think it is the proper way to handle things. I guess since I am not an administrator, my opinion really doesn't matter, and I will likely get into more trouble for posting this, but it is something I feel I needed to put out there. I think I have stated on more than one occasion that if someone had an issue with me or something I have said, to send me an email. To me, that is the respectful and proper way to handle things. I doubt this will garner me much if any support, but as I said in the beginning, this has been bugging me for a while.
Mikelly
Lj, You have a PM, and I deleted the offending post... Read the Announcements section... Mike Kelly
RPMS
Like you, I intensely dislike seeing someone get flamed for expressing their opinions. It is MY opinion that all viewpoints have a right to be expressed, as long as that can be done in a gentlemanly and respectful manner. There's absolutely no need for name calling. I have to observe, however, that the HybridZ board is BY FAR the most pleasant board I've ever been on. I think that much of this is due to aggressive action by the moderators, who tolerate no foul play in the sandbox. Go to any other board on the net and you'll see that many posts degenerate into petty little flame wars, and there seem to be many members that carry grudges for each other. Those individuals who don't fit in here quickly move over to another Z board where their childish tantrums will be allowed. On the HybridZ board, I can't think of ANYONE on here that I wouldn't gladly invite over for beer and pretzels. Even if I don't agree with everyone's opinions, all of our regularly posting members seem to be gentlemen worthy of my respect.

Guest Anonymous
Absolutely right. The main focus is just cars man, lets leave that other stuff outside, the place is nice as mentioned because it is policed pretty well, I applaud the moderators and admin people for keeping things pleasant. I guess it comes down to, if in question whether your going to offend someone, maybe its better to take it to they're private email and not involve everyone. Anyway, lets keep the info flowing, and the z's going... Regards, Lone
Sean 83ZXT
I think the mods do a darn good job as well and would like to say this is one of the most pleasant and mature forums that I frequent. I'd also like to add that if this site is ever in need of more mods, I'd like to volunteer my services. I'm not sure how often the current mods have time to venture in to the forums but I do look at them several times a day and would be more than happy to help. -Sean
Guest Drewz
Ditto on that Sean!!! I know I have spoken up to a couple of up and coming bashing posts and I hope I wasn't out of line but I love this board and the way it has been handled is top notch!!! As for LJ's comments .....the moderators do try hard as always but they don't catch everything right away but the effort is there. I was too upset by the last bashing about the HP of a certain members nonturboed six. It showed poor judgement by the members that involved themselves but things get carried away and we are all humans that make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. I personally allow the moderators to post warnings and now refuse to date to post in any post that appears to be bashing or blatantly is doing so. I have faith in the moderators and their free time and money has been spent for our benefit on this board and it is a shame when things go wrongly on here. SDAN, Mike, etc....keep up the great work and I appreciate the efforts you have made. LJ we all hate it when someone goes too far but don't be discouraged as there is always someone around to try to knock you down. If they don't succeed in doing so they lose in the end. Guest silverbullet
Just had to add my .02, I couldn't agree more with those who said that this site is allways very pleasant to be on, this is in my opinion the single best website on the internet I have learned so much about Z's since I started pulling up this site I think back in Dec. 01. Not trying to brown nose or anything but I think that the admins. and moderators do a damn good job of keeping the peace and tidying things up here, I also don't know who was responsible for the way HybridZ was laid out but it is so much more pleasant to read and manuever through the different forums than other auto enthusiast sites my hat is off to those of you who did that. One question I do have though if any admins. or moderators would care to respond to is maybe it is time to have something like an annual funds drive(strictly donation)for site maintenance or whatever it takes to keep HybZ up and running, I know that I wouldn't mind kicking in a few every year for that just a thought. denny411
I agree with all of the posts above, and I also think a funds drive would be a good idea. I made a similiar suggestion a while back but got no response. I`m sure the bandwidth that this site requires is not cheap, and many of us would be more than happy to pitch in a few bucks to help insure the future of the single most usefull tool that I/we have. Guest Drewz
I believe SDAN has a paypal account to receive funds to help the site along. A funding drive is a nice idea but donations can already be made. Sorry I don't still have the paypal Acct# anymore.
