materchan
doubt. it look at the brake and clutch master cylinders. saw a 5.0 miata before and it looked shoehorned in there, but there is "some" space still left in this one.

VRJoe
It looks Photoshopped to me. It looks like there's too much room around the engine for it to be real. The engine looks small comapred to the body. - Joe
Pop N Wood
I agree. You can see concrete on either side of the engine. No way a Miata has a larger engine bay than a Z.
SuperKid
If that's photshopped, that guy is amazing. Look at the other pictures, he must've spent alot of time doing it.
CruxGNZ
Here is some more information on that Miata from the owner... click here Also, if you read it all, you'll find out he has had a couple hybrid Z cars! He just likes stuffing big engines into small cars. !M!

fastzcars
Cool idea. But I see that the whole drivetrain sets very very low.

Guest Battle Pope
That's kind of the point for a track car, isn't it? Keeps the center of gravity down?
BrandonsZ
It looks Photoshopped to me. It looks like there's too much room around the engine for it to be real. The engine looks small comapred to the body. - Joe I agree, the shadows are too crisp and even, like they are created, the shadow under the engine should be shorter than the one off to the right side off the car, KEY-the shadow would not be equidistant off the right hand side if it fell on floor, jack other junk. Not that's too big a coincidence. But he's good. The race scene is definaetly photoshopped, it's not good. And.. where does that steering shaft go? Right into the oil pan? Flash? More specifically... a flash that is mounted to the left of the lens, like most cameras... This is NOT a photoshop people, look at BOTH pages of pics... The race scene is a concept picture I presume

Pop N Wood
The one picture shown above looks photoshopped, but the half dozen or so other pictures on his web site don't. Could be real.
