Thumper
I don't think those are wide enough:twisted: Makes my 245's seem seem like skinnies. Nice looking. Have you decided on what flares you are going to run?
Zhadman
how about from the front down the side ? and straight on the front? whats the backspacing? Here's the closest I have: The rears have a 5.75" BS and the fronts are 5.25". The front wheels extend out ~1.25" past the original fender lip. The rears... 3". Have you decided on what flares you are going to run? I was going to run VB flares, but they're not wide enough. I'll probably have to make something custom. ZROSSA
Those do look wicked. Do you run coilovers? Douglas
DavyZ
Heh, you are building the car around the wheels--that's like something I would do Wheels cost more then the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Davy
NZeder
Wow. OMFG nice wheels now I see why the Steel VB Street Flares are no good. So one could assume that the VB Steel Street Flares when they say are 3" wider than stock they might be meaning in total ie 1.5" each side. Good luck with the custom flares - what style? ZG A or the ZG B? or somethink different again? Here is a pic of the ZG B flare.
Guest ON3GO
you sure ZG's wont fit? i have the same size you have and my ZG's fit.. mike
Zhadman
I'd love to have a set of flares like that (ZG . The problem with the VB's is that they ARE 3" wider... but they're 3 inches wider from the top of the flare (where the body side changes direction away from the arch). So they're actually ONLY 1" wider than the original arch lip. I created a rant post with some pictures... here ya go: VB Flare Thread
Zhadman
you sure ZG's wont fit? i have the same size you have and my ZG's fit.. mike Mike... you have 17 x 11's in the rear with 5-3/4" BS and the ZG's fit? These suckers stick out 3"... I thought the ZG was only good for 2 - 2.5"?
Guest ON3GO
ya.. same back spacing but i have 275's in the rear for a streched look. they fit, maybe with ur tires no.. but its worth a shot to check. mike
Zhadman
Those do look wicked. Do you run coilovers? Yep, Ground Control Units. Even with the rotor hat in place (which is 3/8" thick) I had to trim the lower perch a bit. Not much though... it actually clears without trimming... but only by 1mm or so. Heh' date=' you are building the car around the wheels--that's like something I would do Wheels cost more then the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [/quote'] At this point the wheels do cost more than the car did!
NZeder
ZG-B replica flares are made by some companies in Japan still. Here is a link to one that I know of. Arita Speed Aero Catalog - Japanese or try this Arita Speed Aero Catalog - English Here is a pic of a car with their kit installed.
