RB26powered74zcar
I was browsing the Yahoo Japan site and came across this... any coments?? >> This was the broken english used to discribe it...<< L type and the argon head combustion room processing being completed for the L6, being unused, to the aerodynamic volume displacement, if the meting face research it does, you can use directly. With 0.6 - 0.7 mm surface researches with 38cc. If it is 3.1l specification, it reaches compressed 11.5 rank, compression 12 is with the 1mm surface research. Valve 46 - 38, the valve guide turtle possession, the seat ring for the ベリリュウムレース, seat cutting is SPL cutting of the ナプレックセット long adjusting. If you can appoint combustion room capacity, the surface research it does with 此 one. If (it is fee separate) desired successful bid price, the surface research doing with 此 one, we send. Being with the same head form 330 PS or more to have put out with the K cam, you can guarantee efficiency. When you think of that it makes from one whether cheap you think. As for the mirror surface finish we ask with the successful bidder!
TheNeedForZ
If you can post the original description in Japanese, perhaps someone (Owen?) on this board can understand it.
JMortensen
Whoever did it did a really good job. Unshrouded valves, welded chambers, very nice port work. Looks kinda like the Gerolamy head in the How to Modify book. NICE.
kalium99
Looks like an E88 skyline head
Tony D
Yeah, that is a welded and ported head, same as I have sitting out in the shed. This is the kind of work they do in Japan...
Phyxius
forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by welded? they used a tig to build up material in the cc?
Silent
ohhhhh, i have a good use for that
JMortensen
forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by welded? they used a tig to build up material in the cc? Yeah, you can basically use any L head and weld the chamber up then shape the chamber as desired to get the compression ratio and quench you want. johnc
You also weld to add material to the intake and (more often) exhaust ports to reshape them and/or raise or lower their position in the head.
Vintage-TechZ
Yes that IS some Pro work right there boys ! It appears they refer tho using back gas or purge gas for the ports while fill-welding the chambers etc. Then that it has a 11.5 compression ratio without a 1mm headgasket.....12.0 if you DO use it.OR....perhaps the amount to be resurfaced or milled off the combustion face.Best I can tell........they are offering this as a service NOT as a HEAD for sale. They refer several times to the differences or optional steps and the change made from this as well as the fee's. Killer NA head for the proper cam for certain.
