TEP or AZC

Recommended Posts

I am going to start “collecting†parts for a suspension re-build this coming July. I am looking at Tokico shocks (HP or Illumina) with either Arizona Z Car (180f 200r) or Top End Performance springs ( 182f 205r). This will be for a back road weekend driver.

I have not seen any positive feedback about TEP. Mainly customer service and shipping times. BUT the TEP springs are selling for 149 while the AZC springs are 198. Saving $49 is appealing to me as I’m on a budget. Or am I to cheap and should spend the extra 50 and support a reputable site.

I have the AZC springs and like them and have not had any problems. I got them because I know AZC has very good parts, I did not know about TEP so I decided to stay with what I know. The rates are so close between the two it comes down to the quality of the spring steel. Find out from both companies about the quality of the spring and buy the better one. $49 is not much more to spend if they are better quality, but if they are about the same in quality go for the lesser price.

I got my Tokkico HP struts and springs off Ebay at a great price. The combo cost me less than getting the just the stuts from MSA. But I'm not that happy with the springs. It dropped the car to low for my taste. The front cross member is only 3" off the ground!!

I hear a lot of good things about the guys @ AZ, and they use this forum. Same with MM.

TMC has springs for around $149...

Have 'em on my '75.

TMC is Traction Master Corp. They have stuff for Z's' date=' 510's and of course - Mustangs.[/quote']

I purchased a set of springs from Jim Cook Racing years ago. Thy were made by TMC. Must have been that Traction Master Corp. I always wondered who TMC was.
