260DET
Should have pics shouldn't I, but they were done a lot around the '80's, particularly in Europe. Basically it was done by curving the fender out along a vertical line then inserting a curved piece along the top. So the fender had a definate line along the top. Anyway I'm sure someone knows what I'm raving about, question is - are there any Z's around with this done? Because it seems like an alternative to the usual flared and curved work done to increase wheel space. Meanwhile I'll try and find some pics. RB26powered74zcar
If I have what your trying to describe correct, I'd say its like my Conquest fender bulges.... Or even like the Skyline rear fenders?? Or am I way off base...?
JMortensen
Here's a box flared 510. Is that the kind of flare you're talking about? I have seen them on S30's before, but I couldn't find a pic. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/628519
RB26powered74zcar
Thats exactly what I had in visioned.... My Conquest has fenders like that (not as dramatic).
260DET
Thats right, some Skylines do have them and Jon, yes, that type of thing on the 510. Although those particular ones, hmmm.............. I have a US authoured car sheetmetal fabrication book around somewhere but can't find it. There was a how to do it project on the subject in that book, damm. If the side body line of the S30 or S130 was followed in designing boxed flairs they could look quite good, could look awful though if the design was not right? 260DET
Something like on the M3 below, would have to be curved in keeping with the Z side line and profile though. Opinions?
Oldestzguy
Might want to try to cut down square type stepside pickup fiberglass fenders (maybe small pickup) and use them.

ToplessZ
Look at the 940 kit John has at http://www.reactionresearch.com
JMortensen
I love that 940 setup. If I were to do a full widebody, that'd be the one. Probably just end up with flares though...
