AdrianZ
I'm very interested in a alumium v8 block. I've looked around and LS1/2s are looking to be about 6-7k... I was also interested in the the 4.6 Northstar. and i found a cheap torn down 1uz. So it all comes down to price vs power. I'm jsut tryign to find a cheaper v8 without going cast iron. kraymond
Try Car-Parts.com it will list auto salvage availability and give you contact info. Look in your state, year you can put 1998 thru 2002, Chevy Camaro, 5.7 V8 LS1 Some are engine trans complete pullout / some are engine only http://www.car-part.com
ezzzzzzz
http://www.hpsalvage.com (San Antonio, TX) is a good source. They are very knowledgable and pull the engine with all hardware and uncut harnesses. The average used car parts suppliers will blue torch everything and you are on your own. It pays (really) to buy from a reputable person! My COMPLETE (16k miles) '00 LS1, 4L60E and all parts including the convertors was $4500 to the door, Texas to Virginia. BringIt
Man that is tempting. I need to get this LS1 in the car so that I'm not soo tempted to sell it. I have a 50kmile LS1/6Speed Combo with EVERY Stock part of a F-Body that you would need. Make an Offer and I could consider Selling It. mark
I bought off ebay. I believe it was fbody salvage. They had a ton of positive feedback and I used a credit card to cover my a$$ just in case. Motor and ALL associated parts arrived well packaged and undamaged.
