J__
im goin to begin reinstalling my suspension back onto my Z over hte weekend. for the rear axle nut, is it ok for me to just use thread locker (like loctite) with the old nut? i destroyed the peening(?) when i took the nut off. tia
DaleMX
If I'm not mistaken I believe a new ZX nut will lock without peening. Locktite might work, but personally I wouldn't trust it. I believe that MSA has the parts you need.
teamz
The old style staked nuts should not be reused. The new style ZX locking nuts are P/N 43262-W1200 from your Nissan dealer. I just bought some from Courtesy Nissan for about $5.00 each.
The Rototiller
i used the old style nut (brand new though). i used red loctite and tightedned it down as tight as i could with a breaker bar and i was going to peen the ends.
