Guest bastaad525
semi OT, but the piping for that setup looks VERY similiar to what some shop was doing to do a twin turbo setup on an SRT-4. Very cool but I wouldn't want to be the guy that has to do a tune up on that engine
Racin_Jason
Seems like an awful lot of trouble for a small reward from a performance standpoint. A single turbo will give as much power as the stock block can handle with minimal lag, given the correct turbo is used. The build has shock factor tho. I'll give it that
80LS1T
Yeah but what will a twin turbo and supercharged engine do for performance? Im betting it will eliminate any turbo lag with the supercharger! Guy
Bartman
Yeah but what will a twin turbo and supercharged engine do for performance? Im betting it will eliminate any turbo lag with the supercharger! Guy It just so happens that there's another current thread that talks about a supercharged and turbocharged Golf.http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=108933
mario_82_ZXT
That thing's in Phoenix and it sometimes comes up to Flagstaff! Maybe I'll see it one day.... Mario
DavyZ
"I'm sure some will think its quite impractical, but it really isnt(in most respects). The supercharger gets the turbo's fully spooled by 2300RPM, with the SC off, the turbo's dont hit full boost til 7100RPM. The production kit will come with 2 GT25's and wont include the SC. If I remember right its running ~25psi. Stock block and pushing well over 400HP." What exactly is well over 400 hp? 500? More? I'll stick to a V8, thanks. silicone boy
I'd hate to be the tech that has to take care of that thing. Talk about a cluttered engine bay!
